The Queen of Sheba

10Now when the queen of Sheba heard about the fame of Solomon concerning the name of the LORD, she came to test him with difficult questions.H4436H7614H8085H8088H8010H8034H3068H935H5254H2420 2So she came to Jerusalem with a very large retinue, with camels carrying spices and very much gold and precious stones. When she came to Solomon, she spoke with him about all that was in her heart.H935H3389H3966H3515H2428H1581H5375H1314H3966H7227H2091H3368H68H935H8010H1696H3824 3And Solomon answered all her questions; nothing was hidden from the king which he did not explain to her.H8010H5046H1697H1697H5956H4428H5046 4When the queen of Sheba perceived all the wisdom of Solomon, the house that he had built,H4436H7614H7200H8010H2451H1004H1129 5the food of his table, the seating of his servants, the attendance of his waiters and their attire, his cupbearers, and his stairway by which he went up to the house of the LORD, there was no more spirit in her.H3978H7979H4186H5650H4612H8334H4403H8248H5930H5927H1004H3068H7307 6Then she said to the king, "It was a true report which I heard in my own land about your words and your wisdom.H559H4428H571H1697H8085H776H1697H2451 7"Nevertheless I did not believe the reports, until I came and my eyes had seen it. And behold, the half was not told me. You exceed [in] wisdom and prosperity the report which I heard.H539H1697H935H5869H7200H2677H5046H2451H2896H3254H8052H8085 8"How blessed are your men, how blessed are these your servants who stand before you continually [and] hear your wisdom.H835H582H835H5650H5975H8548H6440H8085H2451 9"Blessed be the LORD your God who delighted in you to set you on the throne of Israel; because the LORD loved Israel forever, therefore He made you king, to do justice and righteousness."H1288H3068H430H2654H5414H3678H3478H3068H160H3478H5769H7760H4428H6213H4941H6666 10And she gave the king a hundred and twenty talents of gold, and a very great [amount] of spices and precious stones. Never again did such abundance of spices come in as that which the queen of Sheba gave King Solomon.H5414H4428H3967H6242H3603H2091H1314H3966H7235H3368H68H935H1931H7230H1314H4436H7614H5414H4428H8010 11And also the ships of Hiram, which brought gold from Ophir, brought in from Ophir a very great [number of] almug trees and precious stones.H590H2438H5375H2091H211H935H211H3966H7235H484H6086H3368H68 12And the king made of the almug trees supports for the house of the LORD and for the king's house, also lyres and harps for the singers; such almug trees have not come in [again,] nor have they been seen to this day.H4428H6213H484H6086H4552H1004H3068H4428H1004H3658H5035H7891H935H484H6086H7200H3117 13And King Solomon gave to the queen of Sheba all her desire which she requested, besides what he gave her according to his royal bounty. Then she turned and went to her own land together with her servants.H4428H8010H5414H4436H7614H2656H7592H8010H5414H4428H3027H6437H3212H776H5650

Wealth, Splendor and Wisdom

14Now the weight of gold which came in to Solomon in one year [was] 666 talents of gold,H4948H2091H935H8010H259H8141H8337H3967H8346H8337H3603H2091 15besides [that] from the traders and the wares of the merchants and all the kings of the Arabs and the governors of the country.H582H8446H4536H7402H4428H6153H6346H776 16And King Solomon made 200 large shields of beaten gold, using 600 [ shekels of] gold on each large shield.H4428H8010H6213H3967H6793H7820H2091H8337H3967H2091H5927H259H6793 17And [he made] 300 shields of beaten gold, using three minas of gold on each shield, and the king put them in the house of the forest of Lebanon.H7969H3967H4043H7820H2091H7969H4488H2091H5927H259H4043H4428H5414H1004H3293H3844 18Moreover, the king made a great throne of ivory and overlaid it with refined gold.H4428H6213H1419H3678H8127H6823H6338H2091 19There [were] six steps to the throne and a round top to the throne at its rear, and arms on each side of the seat, and two lions standing beside the arms.H3678H8337H4609H7218H3678H5696H310H3027H4725H7675H8147H738H5975H681H3027 20And twelve lions were standing there on the six steps on the one side and on the other; nothing like [it] was made for any other kingdom.H8147H6240H738H5975H8337H4609H3651H6213H4467 21And all King Solomon's drinking vessels [were] of gold, and all the vessels of the house of the forest of Lebanon [were] of pure gold.
