Division of the Land East of the Jordan

8The other half of Manasseh, the Reubenites and the Gadites had received the inheritance that Moses had given them east of the Jordan, as he, the servant of the LORD, had assigned it to them.H7206H1425H3947H5159H4872H5414H5676H3383H4217H4872H5650H3068H5414 9It extended from Aroer on the rim of the Arnon Gorge, and from the town in the middle of the gorge, and included the whole plateau of Medeba as far as Dibon,H6177H8193H5158H769H5892H8432H5158H4334H4311H1769 10and all the towns of Sihon king of the Amorites, who ruled in Heshbon, out to the border of the Ammonites.H5892H5511H4428H567H4427H2809H1366H1121H5983 11It also included Gilead, the territory of the people of Geshur and Maakah, all of Mount Hermon and all Bashan as far as Salekah—H1568H1366H1651H4602H2022H2768H1316H5548 12that is, the whole kingdom of Og in Bashan, who had reigned in Ashtaroth and Edrei. (He was the last of the Rephaites.)
