English Standard Version Help
17There was a man of the hill country of Ephraim, whose name was Micah.H376H2022H669H8034H4321 2And he said to his mother, "The 1,100 pieces of silver that were taken from you, about which you uttered a curse, and also spoke it in my ears, behold, the silver is with me; I took it." And his mother said, "Blessed be my son by the LORD."H559H517H505H3967H3701H3947H422H559H241H3701H3947H517H559H1288H3068H1121 3And he restored the 1,100 pieces of silver to his mother. And his mother said, "I dedicate the silver to the LORD from my hand for my son, to make a carved image and a metal image. Now therefore I will restore it to you."H7725H505H3967H3701H517H517H559H6942H6942H3701H3068H3027H1121H6213H6459H4541H7725 4So when he restored the money to his mother, his mother took 200 pieces of silver and gave it to the silversmith, who made it into a carved image and a metal image. And it was in the house of Micah.H7725H3701H517H517H3947H3967H3701H5414H6884H6213H6459H4541H1004H4321 5And the man Micah had a shrine, and he made an ephod and household gods, and ordained one of his sons, who became his priest.H376H4318H1004H430H6213H646H8655H4390H3027H259H1121H3548 6In those days there was no king in Israel. Everyone did what was right in his own eyes.H3117H4428H3478H376H6213H3477H5869 7Now there was a young man of Bethlehem in Judah, of the family of Judah, who was a Levite, and he sojourned there.H5288H1035H3063H4940H3063H3881H1481 8And the man departed from the town of Bethlehem in Judah to sojourn where he could find a place. And as he journeyed, he came to the hill country of Ephraim to the house of Micah.H376H3212H5892H1035H3063H1481H4672H935H2022H669H1004H4318H6213H1870 9And Micah said to him, "Where do you come from?" And he said to him, "I am a Levite of Bethlehem in Judah, and I am going to sojourn where I may find a place."H4318H559H370H935H559H3881H1035H3063H1980H1481H4672 10And Micah said to him, "Stay with me, and be to me a father and a priest, and I will give you ten pieces of silver a year and a suit of clothes and your living." And the Levite went in.H4318H559H3427H1H3548H5414H6235H3701H3117H6187H899H4241H3881H3212 11And the Levite was content to dwell with the man, and the young man became to him like one of his sons.H3881H2974H3427H376H5288H259H1121 12And Micah ordained the Levite, and the young man became his priest, and was in the house of Micah.H4318H4390H3027H3881H5288H3548H1004H4318 13Then Micah said, "Now I know that the LORD will prosper me, because I have a Levite as priest."H559H4318H3045H3068H3190H3881H3548
