The Unbelieving Towns

"How terrible it will be for you, Chorazin! How terrible for you too, Bethsaida! 16Jesus said to his disciples, "Whoever listens to you listens to me; whoever rejects you rejects me; and whoever rejects me rejects the one who sent me."G191G5216G191G1700G2532G114G5209G114G1691G1161G114G1691G114G649G3165

The Return of the Seventy-Two

The seventy-two men came back in great joy. "Lord," they said, "even the demons obeyed us when we gave them a command in your name!"G1161G1440G5290G3326G5479G3004G2962G2532G1140G5293G2254G1722G4675G3686
Jesus answered them, "I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven.G1161G2036G846G2334G4567G5613G796G4098G1537G3772
Listen! I have given you authority, so that you can walk on snakes and scorpions and overcome all the power of the Enemy, and nothing will hurt you.G2400G1325G5213G1849G3961G1883G3789G2532G4651G2532G1909G3956G1411G2190G2532G3762G91G3364G91G91G5209
But don't be glad because the evil spirits obey you; rather be glad because your names are written in heaven."G4133G1722G5129G5463G3361G3754G4151G5293G5213G1161G3123G5463G3754G5216G3686G1125G1722G3772

Jesus Rejoices

At that time Jesus was filled with joy by the Holy Spirit and said, "Father, Lord of heaven and earth! I thank you because you have shown to the unlearned what you have hidden from the wise and learned. Yes, Father, this was how you were pleased to have it happen.G1722G846G5610G2424G21G4151G2532G2036G1843G4671G3962G2962G3772G2532G1093G3754G613G5023G575G4680G2532G4908G2532G601G846G3516G3483G3962G3754G3779G1096G2107G1715G4675G1715
"My Father has given me all things. No one knows who the Son is except the Father, and no one knows who the Father is except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him."G3956G3860G3427G5259G3450G3962G2532G3762G1097G5101G5207G2076G1508G3962G2532G5101G3962G2076G1508G5207G2532G3739G1437G5207G1014G601
Then Jesus turned to the disciples and said to them privately, "How fortunate you are to see the things you see!G2532G4762G4314G3101G2036G2398G2596G3107G3788G3588G991G3739G991
I tell you that many prophets and kings wanted to see what you see, but they could not, and to hear what you hear, but they did not."G1063G3004G5213G3754G4183G4396G2532G935G2309G1492G3739G5210G991G2532G1492G3756G1492G2532G191G3739G191G2532G191G3756G191

The Parable of the Good Samaritan

A teacher of the Law came up and tried to trap Jesus. "Teacher," he asked, "what must I do to receive eternal life?"G2532G2400G5100G3544G450G2532G1598G846G3004G1320G5101G4160G2816G166G2222
Jesus answered him, "What do the Scriptures say? How do you interpret them?"G1161G2036G4314G846G5101G1125G1722G3551G4459G314
The man answered, " 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind'; and 'Love your neighbor as you love yourself.' "G1161G611G2036G25G2962G4675G2316G1537G3650G4675G2588G2532G1537G3650G4675G5590G2532G1537G3650G4675G2479G2532G1537G3650G4675G1271G2532G4675G4139G5613G4572
"You are right," Jesus replied; "do this and you will live."G1161G2036G846G611G3723G5124G4160G2532G2198
But the teacher of the Law wanted to justify himself, so he asked Jesus, "Who is my neighbor?"G1161G2309G1344G1438G2036G4314G2424G2532G5101G2076G3450G4139
Jesus answered, "There was once a man who was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho when robbers attacked him, stripped him, and beat him up, leaving him half dead.G1161G2424G5274G2036G5100G444G2597G575G2419G1519G2410G2532G4045G3027G3739G2532G1562G846G1562G2532G4127G2007G565G863G2253G5177
It so happened that a priest was going down that road; but when he saw the man, he walked on by on the other side.G1161G2596G4795G2597G5100G2409G1722G1565G3598G2532G1492G846G492
In the same way a Levite also came there, went over and looked at the man, and then walked on by on the other side.G1161G3668G2532G3019G1096G2596G5117G2064G2532G1492G492
But a Samaritan who was traveling that way came upon the man, and when he saw him, his heart was filled with pity.G1161G5100G4541G3593G2064G2596G846G2532G1492G846G4697
He went over to him, poured oil and wine on his wounds and bandaged them; then he put the man on his own animal and took him to an inn, where he took care of him.G2532G4334G2611G846G5134G2022G1637G2532G3631G1161G1913G846G1909G2398G2934G71G846G1519G3829G2532G1959G846
The next day he took out two silver coins and gave them to the innkeeper. 'Take care of him,' he told the innkeeper, 'and when I come back this way, I will pay you whatever else you spend on him.' "G2532G1909G839G1831G1544G1417G1220G1325G3830G2532G2036G846G1959G846G2532G3748G302G4325G3165G1722G1880G1473G591G4671
And Jesus concluded, "In your opinion, which one of these three acted like a neighbor toward the man attacked by the robbers?"G5101G3767G5130G5140G1380G4671G1096G4139G1706G1519G3027
The teacher of the Law answered, "The one who was kind to him." Jesus replied, "You go, then, and do the same."G1161G2036G4160G1656G3326G846G3767G2036G2424G846G4198G2532G4160G4771G3668

Jesus Visits Martha and Mary

As Jesus and his disciples went on their way, he came to a village where a woman named Martha welcomed him in her home.G1161G1096G1722G846G4198G2532G846G1525G1519G5100G2968G1161G5100G1135G3686G3136G5264G846G1519G846G3624
She had a sister named Mary, who sat down at the feet of the Lord and listened to his teaching.G2532G3592G2258G79G2564G3137G3739G2532G3869G3844G2424G4228G191G846G3056
Martha was upset over all the work she had to do, so she came and said, "Lord, don't you care that my sister has left me to do all the work by myself ? Tell her to come and help me!"G1161G3136G4049G4012G4183G1248G1161G2186G2036G2962G3199G4671G3756G3199G3754G3450G79G2641G3165G1247G3441G2036G846G3767G2443G4878G3427
The Lord answered her, "Martha, Martha! You are worried and troubled over so many things,G1161G2424G611G2036G846G3136G3136G3309G2532G5182G4012G4183
but just one is needed. Mary has chosen the right thing, and it will not be taken away from her."G1161G1520G2076G5532G1161G3137G1586G18G3310G3748G851G3756G851G575G846
