The Seventy Sent Out

Do not keep moving from house to house.G1161G1722G846G3614G3306G2068G2532G4095G3844G846G3844G1063G2040G2076G514G846G3408G3327G3361G1537G3614G1519G3614 8"And whatever city you enter, and they receive you, eat what is set before you;G2532G1519G1161G3739G302G4172G1525G2532G1209G5209G2068G3908G5213 9and heal those in it who are sick, and say to them, 'The kingdom of God has come near to you.'G2532G2323G772G1722G846G2532G3004G846G932G2316G1448G1909G5209 10"But whatever city you enter and they do not receive you, go out into its streets and say,G1161G1519G3739G302G4172G1525G2532G1209G5209G3361G1831G1519G4113G846G2036 11'Even the dust of your city which clings to our feet, we wipe off [ in protest] against you; yet be sure of this, that the kingdom of God has come near.'G2532G2868G1537G5216G4172G3588G2853G2254G631G5213G4133G1097G5124G3754G932G2316G1448G1909G5209 12"I say to you, it will be more tolerable in that day for Sodom, than for that city.G1161G3004G5213G3754G2071G414G1722G1565G2250G4670G2228G1565G4172 13"Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the miracles had been performed in Tyre and Sidon which occurred in you, they would have repented long ago, sitting in sackcloth and ashes.G3759G4671G5523G3759G4671G966G3754G1487G1411G1096G1722G5184G2532G4605G3588G1096G1722G5213G3340G3819G3340G2521G302G1722G4526G2532G4700 14"But it will be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon in the judgment, than for you.G4133G2071G414G5184G2532G4605G1722G2920G2228G5213 15"And you, Capernaum, will not be exalted to heaven, will you? You will be brought down to Hades!G2532G4771G2584G3588G5312G2193G3772G2601G2193G86 16"The one who listens to you listens to Me, and the one who rejects you rejects Me; and he who rejects Me rejects the One who sent Me."G191G5216G191G1700G2532G114G5209G114G1691G1161G114G1691G114G649G3165

The Happy Results

17And the seventy returned with joy, saying, "Lord, even the demons are subject to us in Your name."G1161G1440G5290G3326G5479G3004G2962G2532G1140G5293G2254G1722G4675G3686 18And He said to them, "I was watching Satan fall from heaven like lightning.G1161G2036G846G2334G4567G5613G796G4098G1537G3772 19"Behold, I have given you authority to tread upon serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall injure you.G2400G1325G5213G1849G3961G1883G3789G2532G4651G2532G1909G3956G1411G2190G2532G3762G91G3364G91G91G5209 20"Nevertheless do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rejoice that your names are recorded in heaven."G4133G1722G5129G5463G3361G3754G4151G5293G5213G1161G3123G5463G3754G5216G3686G1125G1722G3772 21At that very time He rejoiced greatly in the Holy Spirit, and said, "I praise Thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that Thou didst hide these things from [the] wise and intelligent and didst reveal them to babes. Yes, Father, for thus it was well-pleasing in Thy sight.G1722G846G5610G2424G21G4151G2532G2036G1843G4671G3962G2962G3772G2532G1093G3754G613G5023G575G4680G2532G4908G2532G601G846G3516G3483G3962G3754G3779G1096G2107G1715G4675G1715 22"All things have been handed over to Me by My Father, and no one knows who the Son is except the Father, and who the Father is except the Son, and anyone to whom the Son wills to reveal [Him.]"G3956G3860G3427G5259G3450G3962G2532G3762G1097G5101G5207G2076G1508G3962G2532G5101G3962G2076G1508G5207G2532G3739G1437G5207G1014G601 23And turning to the disciples, He said privately, "Blessed [are] the eyes which see the things you see,G2532G4762G4314G3101G2036G2398G2596G3107G3788G3588G991G3739G991 24for I say to you, that many prophets and kings wished to see the things which you see, and did not see [them,] and to hear the things which you hear, and did not hear [them.] "G1063G3004G5213G3754G4183G4396G2532G935G2309G1492G3739G5210G991G2532G1492G3756G1492G2532G191G3739G191G2532G191G3756G191 25And behold, a certain lawyer stood up and put Him to the test, saying, "Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?"G2532G2400G5100G3544G450G2532G1598G846G3004G1320G5101G4160G2816G166G2222 26And He said to him, "What is written in the Law? How does it read to you?"G1161G2036G4314G846G5101G1125G1722G3551G4459G314 27And he answered and said, "YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, AND WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND WITH ALL YOUR STRENGTH, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND; AND YOUR NEIGHBOR AS YOURSELF."G1161G611G2036G25G2962G4675G2316G1537G3650G4675G2588G2532G1537G3650G4675G5590G2532G1537G3650G4675G2479G2532G1537G3650G4675G1271G2532G4675G4139G5613G4572 28And He said to him, "You have answered correctly; DO THIS, AND YOU WILL LIVE."G1161G2036G846G611G3723G5124G4160G2532G2198 29But wishing to justify himself, he said to Jesus, "And who is my neighbor?"G1161G2309G1344G1438G2036G4314G2424G2532G5101G2076G3450G4139

The Good Samaritan

30Jesus replied and said, "A certain man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho; and he fell among robbers, and they stripped him and beat him, and went off leaving him half dead.G1161G2424G5274G2036G5100G444G2597G575G2419G1519G2410G2532G4045G3027G3739G2532G1562G846G1562G2532G4127G2007G565G863G2253G5177 31"And by chance a certain priest was going down on that road, and when he saw him, he passed by on the other side.G1161G2596G4795G2597G5100G2409G1722G1565G3598G2532G1492G846G492 32"And likewise a Levite also, when he came to the place and saw him, passed by on the other side.G1161G3668G2532G3019G1096G2596G5117G2064G2532G1492G492 33"But a certain Samaritan, who was on a journey, came upon him; and when he saw him, he felt compassion,G1161G5100G4541G3593G2064G2596G846G2532G1492G846G4697 34and came to him, and bandaged up his wounds, pouring oil and wine on [them;] and he put him on his own beast, and brought him to an inn, and took care of him.G2532G4334G2611G846G5134G2022G1637G2532G3631G1161G1913G846G1909G2398G2934G71G846G1519G3829G2532G1959G846 35"And on the next day he took out two denarii and gave them to the innkeeper and said, 'Take care of him; and whatever more you spend, when I return, I will repay you.'G2532G1909G839G1831G1544G1417G1220G1325G3830G2532G2036G846G1959G846G2532G3748G302G4325G3165G1722G1880G1473G591G4671 36"Which of these three do you think proved to be a neighbor to the man who fell into the robbers' [hands?]"G5101G3767G5130G5140G1380G4671G1096G4139G1706G1519G3027 37And he said, "The one who showed mercy toward him." And Jesus said to him, "Go and do the same."G1161G2036G4160G1656G3326G846G3767G2036G2424G846G4198G2532G4160G4771G3668 38Now as they were traveling along, He entered a certain village; and a woman named Martha welcomed Him into her home.G1161G1096G1722G846G4198G2532G846G1525G1519G5100G2968G1161G5100G1135G3686G3136G5264G846G1519G846G3624 39And she had a sister called Mary, who moreover was listening to the Lord's word, seated at His feet.G2532G3592G2258G79G2564G3137G3739G2532G3869G3844G2424G4228G191G846G3056 40But Martha was distracted with all her preparations; and she came up [to Him,] and said, "Lord, do You not care that my sister has left me to do all the serving alone? Then tell her to help me."G1161G3136G4049G4012G4183G1248G1161G2186G2036G2962G3199G4671G3756G3199G3754G3450G79G2641G3165G1247G3441G2036G846G3767G2443G4878G3427 41But the Lord answered and said to her, "Martha, Martha, you are worried and bothered about so many things;G1161G2424G611G2036G846G3136G3136G3309G2532G5182G4012G4183 42but [only] a few things are necessary, really [only] one, for Mary has chosen the good part, which shall not be taken away from her.
