The Triumphal Entry

11Now when they drew near Jerusalem, to Bethphage and Bethany, at the Mount of Olives, He sent two of His disciples;G2532G3753G1448G1519G2419G1519G967G2532G963G4314G3735G1636G649G1417G846G3101 2and He said to them, "Go into the village opposite you; and as soon as you have entered it you will find a colt tied, on which no one has sat. Loose it and bring it.G2532G3004G846G5217G1519G2968G2713G5216G2532G2112G1531G1519G846G2147G4454G1210G1909G3739G3762G444G2523G3089G846G71 3"And if anyone says to you, 'Why are you doing this?' say, 'The Lord has need of it,' and immediately he will send it here."G2532G1437G5100G2036G5213G5101G4160G5124G2036G3754G2962G2192G5532G846G2532G2112G649G846G5602 4So they went their way, and found the colt tied by the door outside on the street, and they loosed it.G1161G565G2532G2147G4454G1210G4314G2374G1854G1909G296G2532G3089G846 5But some of those who stood there said to them, "What are you doing, loosing the colt?"G2532G5100G2476G1563G3004G846G5101G4160G3089G4454 6And they spoke to them just as Jesus had commanded. So they let them go.G1161G2036G846G2531G2424G1781G2532G863G846G863 7Then they brought the colt to Jesus and threw their clothes on it, and He sat on it.G2532G71G4454G4314G2424G2532G1911G846G2440G1911G846G2532G2523G1909G846 8And many spread their clothes on the road, and others cut down leafy branches from the trees and spread them on the road.G1161G4183G4766G846G2440G1519G3598G1161G243G2875G4746G1537G1186G2532G4766G1519G3598 9Then those who went before and those who followed cried out, saying: "Hosanna! 'Blessed is He who comes in the name of the LORD!'G2532G4254G2532G190G2896G3004G5614G2127G2064G1722G3686G2962 10Blessed is the kingdom of our father David That comes in the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the highest!"G2127G932G2257G3962G1138G2064G1722G3686G2962G5614G1722G5310 11And Jesus went into Jerusalem and into the temple. So when He had looked around at all things, as the hour was already late, He went out to Bethany with the twelve.G2532G2424G1525G1519G2414G2532G1519G2411G2532G4017G3956G2235G3798G5610G5607G1831G1519G963G3326G1427

The Fig Tree Withered

12Now the next day, when they had come out from Bethany, He was hungry.G2532G1887G846G1831G575G963G3983 13And seeing from afar a fig tree having leaves, He went to see if perhaps He would find something on it. When He came to it, He found nothing but leaves, for it was not the season for figs.G2532G1492G4808G3113G2192G5444G2064G1487G686G2147G5100G1722G846G2532G2064G1909G846G2147G3762G1508G5444G1063G2540G4810G2258G3756 14In response Jesus said to it, "Let no one eat fruit from you ever again." And His disciples heard it.G2532G2424G611G2036G846G3367G5315G2590G1537G4675G3371G1519G165G2532G846G3101G191

Jesus Cleanses the Temple

15So they came to Jerusalem. Then Jesus went into the temple and began to drive out those who bought and sold in the temple, and overturned the tables of the money changers and the seats of those who sold doves.G2532G2064G1519G2414G2532G2424G1525G1519G2411G756G1544G4453G2532G59G1722G2411G2532G2690G5132G2855G2532G2515G846G4453G4058 16And He would not allow anyone to carry wares through the temple.G2532G863G3756G863G2443G5100G1308G4632G1223G2411 17Then He taught, saying to them, "Is it not written, 'My house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations'? But you have made it a 'den of thieves.'"G2532G1321G3004G846G1125G3756G1125G3754G3450G3624G2564G3956G1484G3624G4335G1161G5210G4160G846G4693G3027 18And the scribes and chief priests heard it and sought how they might destroy Him; for they feared Him, because all the people were astonished at His teaching.G2532G1122G2532G749G191G2532G2212G4459G622G846G1063G5399G846G3754G3956G3793G1605G1909G846G1322 19When evening had come, He went out of the city.G2532G3753G3796G1096G1607G1854G4172

The Lesson of the Withered Fig Tree

20Now in the morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots.G2532G4404G3899G1492G4808G3583G1537G4491 21And Peter, remembering, said to Him, "Rabbi, look! The fig tree which You cursed has withered away."G2532G4074G363G3004G846G4461G2396G4808G3739G2672G3583 22So Jesus answered and said to them, "Have faith in God.G2532G2424G611G3004G846G2192G4102G2316 23"For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, 'Be removed and be cast into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.G1063G281G3004G5213G3754G3739G302G2036G5129G3735G142G2532G906G1519G2281G2532G1252G3361G1252G1722G846G2588G235G4100G3754G3739G3004G1096G846G2071G3739G1437G2036 24"Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.G1223G5124G3004G5213G3745G3956G302G154G4336G4100G3754G2983G2532G5213G2071

Forgiveness and Prayer

25"And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses.G2532G3752G4739G4336G863G1536G2192G1536G2596G5100G2443G5216G3962G2532G3588G1722G3772G863G5213G5216G3900 26"But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your trespasses."G1161G1487G5210G863G3756G863G3761G863G5216G3962G3588G1722G3772G863G5216G3900

Jesus’ Authority Questioned

27Then they came again to Jerusalem. And as He was walking in the temple, the chief priests, the scribes, and the elders came to Him.G2532G2064G3825G1519G2414G2532G846G4043G1722G2411G2064G4314G846G749G2532G1122G2532G4245 28And they said to Him, "By what authority are You doing these things? And who gave You this authority to do these things?"G2532G3004G846G1722G4169G1849G4160G5023G2532G5101G1325G4671G5026G1849G2443G4160G5023 29But Jesus answered and said to them, "I also will ask you one question; then answer Me, and I will tell you by what authority I do these things:G1161G2424G611G2036G846G1905G2504G1905G5209G1520G3056G2532G611G3427G2532G2046G5213G1722G4169G1849G4160G5023 30"The baptism of John—was it from heaven or from men? Answer Me."G908G2491G2258G1537G3772G2228G1537G444G611G3427 31And they reasoned among themselves, saying, "If we say, 'From heaven,' He will say, 'Why then did you not believe him?'G2532G3049G4314G1438G3004G1437G2036G1537G3772G2046G1302G3767G4100G3756G4100G846 32"But if we say, 'From men'"—they feared the people, for all counted John to have been a prophet indeed.G235G1437G2036G1537G444G5399G2992G1063G537G2192G2491G3754G2258G4396G3689 33So they answered and said to Jesus, "We do not know." And Jesus answered and said to them, "Neither will I tell you by what authority I do these things."G2532G611G3004G2424G1492G3756G1492G2532G2424G611G3004G846G3761G1473G3004G5213G1722G4169G1849G4160G5023
