Resurrection Morning

28After the Sabbath, as the first day of the week was dawning, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to view the tomb.G1161G3796G4521G2020G1519G3391G4521G2064G3137G3094G2532G243G3137G2334G5028
2Suddenly there was a violent earthquake, because an angel of the Lord descended from heaven and approached [the tomb]. He rolled back the stone and was sitting on it.G2532G2400G1096G3173G4578G1063G32G2962G2597G1537G3772G4334G617G3037G575G2374G2532G2521G1883G846
3His appearance was like lightning, and his robe was as white as snow.G1161G846G2397G2258G5613G796G2532G846G1742G3022G5616G5510
4The guards were so shaken from fear of him that they became like dead men.G1161G575G5401G846G5083G4579G2532G1096G5616G3498
5But the angel told the women, "Don't be afraid, because I know you are looking for Jesus who was crucified.G1161G32G611G2036G1135G5399G3361G5210G1063G1492G3754G2212G2424G3588G4717
6He is not here! For He has been resurrected, just as He said. Come and see the place where He lay.G2076G3756G5602G1063G1453G2531G2036G1205G1492G5117G3699G2962G2749
7Then go quickly and tell His disciples, 'He has been raised from the dead. In fact, He is going ahead of you to Galilee; you will see Him there.' Listen, I have told you."G2532G4198G5035G2036G846G3101G3754G1453G575G3498G2532G2400G4254G5209G1519G1056G1563G3700G846G2400G2036G5213
8So, departing quickly from the tomb with fear and great joy, they ran to tell His disciples the news.G2532G1831G5035G575G3419G3326G5401G2532G3173G5479G5143G518G846G3101G518
9Just then Jesus met them and said, "Good morning!" They came up, took hold of His feet, and worshiped Him.G1161G5613G4198G518G846G3101G2532G2400G2424G528G846G3004G5463G1161G4334G2902G846G4228G2532G4352G846
10Then Jesus told them, "Do not be afraid. Go and tell My brothers to leave for Galilee, and they will see Me there."G5119G3004G2424G846G5399G3361G5399G565G518G3450G80G2443G5217G1519G1056G2546G3700G3165

The Soldiers Are Bribed to Lie

11As they were on their way, some of the guard came into the city and reported to the chief priests everything that had happened.G1161G846G4198G2400G5100G2892G2064G1519G4172G518G749G537G1096
12After the priests had assembled with the elders and agreed on a plan, they gave the soldiers a large sum of moneyG2532G4863G3326G4245G5037G2983G4824G1325G2425G694G4757
13and told them, "Say this, 'His disciples came during the night and stole Him while we were sleeping.'G3004G2036G3754G846G3101G2064G3571G2813G846G2257G2837
14If this reaches the governor's ears, we will deal with him and keep you out of trouble."G2532G1437G5124G191G1909G2232G191G2249G3982G846G2532G275G4160G5209
15So they took the money and did as they were instructed. And this story has been spread among Jewish people to this day.G1161G2983G694G4160G5613G1321G2532G3778G3056G1310G3844G2453G3360G4594

The Great Commission

16The 11 disciples traveled to Galilee, to the mountain where Jesus had directed them.G1161G1733G3101G4198G1519G1056G1519G3735G3757G2424G5021G846
17When they saw Him, they worshiped, but some doubted.G2532G1492G846G4352G846G1161G1365
18Then Jesus came near and said to them, "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.G2532G2424G4334G2980G846G3004G3956G1849G1325G3427G1722G3772G2532G1909G1093
19Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,G4198G3767G3100G3956G1484G907G846G1519G3686G3962G2532G5207G2532G40G4151
20teaching them to observe everything I have commanded you. And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age."G1321G846G5083G3956G3745G1781G5213G2532G2400G1473G1510G3326G5216G3956G2250G2193G4930G165G281
