Miriam and Aaron Rebel

12Miriam and Aaron criticized Moses because of the Cushite woman he married (for he had married a Cushite woman).H4813H175H1696H4872H182H3571H802H3947H3947H3571H802 2They said, "Does the LORD speak only through Moses? Does He not also speak through us?" And the LORD heard [it].H559H3068H1696H4872H1696H3068H8085 3Moses was a very humble man, more so than any man on the face of the earth.H376H4872H3966H6035H6035H120H6440H127 4Suddenly the LORD said to Moses, Aaron, and Miriam, "You three come out to the tent of meeting." So the three of them went out.H3068H559H6597H4872H175H4813H3318H7969H168H4150H7969H3318 5Then the LORD descended in a pillar of cloud, stood at the entrance to the tent, and summoned Aaron and Miriam. When the two of them came forward,H3068H3381H5982H6051H5975H6607H168H7121H175H4813H8147H3318 6He said: "Listen to what I say: If there is a prophet among you from the LORD, I make Myself known to him in a vision; I speak with him in a dream.H559H8085H1697H5030H3068H3045H4759H1696H2472 7Not so with My servant Moses; he is faithful in all My household.H5650H4872H539H1004 8I speak with him directly, openly, and not in riddles; he sees the form of the LORD. So why were you not afraid to speak against My servant Moses?"H1696H6310H6310H4758H2420H8544H3068H5027H3372H1696H5650H4872 9The Lord's anger burned against them, and He left.H639H3068H2734H3212 10As the cloud moved away from the tent, Miriam's [skin] suddenly became diseased, as [white] as snow. When Aaron turned toward her, he saw that she was diseasedH6051H5493H168H4813H6879H7950H175H6437H4813H6879 11and said to Moses, "My lord, please don't hold against us this sin we have so foolishly committed.H175H559H4872H994H113H7896H2403H2973H2398 12Please don't let her be like a dead [baby] whose flesh is half eaten away when he comes out of his mother's womb."H4994H4191H1320H2677H398H3318H517H7358 13Then Moses cried out to the LORD, "God, please heal her!"H4872H6817H3068H559H7495H410 14The LORD answered Moses, "If her father had merely spit in her face, wouldn't she remain in disgrace for seven days? Let her be confined outside the camp for seven days; after that she may be brought back in."H3068H559H4872H1H3417H3417H6440H3637H7651H3117H5462H2351H4264H7651H3117H310H622 15So Miriam was confined outside the camp for seven days, and the people did not move on until Miriam was brought back in.H4813H5462H2351H4264H7651H3117H5971H5265H4813H622 16After that, the people set out from Hazeroth and camped in the Wilderness of Paran.H310H5971H5265H2698H2583H4057H6290
