The Blessings of Trusting God

3My son, don't forget my instruction, and keep my commandments carefully in mind.H1121H7911H8451H3820H5341H4687 2For they will add length to your days, years to your life, and abundant peace to you.H753H3117H8141H2416H7965H3254 3Do not let gracious love and truth leave you. Bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart,H2617H571H5800H7194H1621H3789H3871H3820 4and find favor and a good reputation with God and men.H4672H2580H2896H7922H5869H430H120 5Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not depend on your own understanding.H982H3068H3820H8172H998 6In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.H1870H3045H3474H734 7Do not be wise in your own opinion. Fear the Lord and turn away from evil.H2450H5869H3372H3068H5493H7451 8This will bring healing to your body, and refreshment to your bones.H7500H8270H8250H6106 9Honor the Lord with your wealth and with the first of all your produce.H3513H3068H1952H7225H8393 10So your barns will be filled with abundance, and your vats will burst open with new wine.H618H4390H7647H3342H6555H8492 11My son, do not reject the Lord's discipline, and do not despise his correction,H1121H3988H4148H3068H6973H8433 12because the Lord corrects the person he loves, just as a father corrects the son he delights in.H3068H157H3198H1H1121H7521

Wisdom More Valuable than Riches

13How joyful is the man who finds wisdom, and the man who gains understanding,H835H120H4672H2451H120H6329H8394 14because her profit is better than the profit of silver, and her yield than fine gold.H5504H2896H5505H3701H8393H2742 15She is more precious than rubies, and nothing you desire compares with her.H3368H6443H2656H7737 16Long life is in her right hand, and in her left are riches and honor.H753H3117H3225H8040H6239H3519 17Her ways are pleasant ways, and all her paths are peaceful.H1870H1870H5278H5410H7965 18She is a tree of life for those who embrace her, and whoever clutches her tightly will be joyful.H6086H2416H2388H833H8551 19By wisdom the Lord laid the earth's foundations, and by understanding he set the heavens in place.H3068H2451H3245H776H8394H3559H8064 20By his knowledge the depths broke open, and the clouds drip with dew.H1847H8415H1234H7834H7491H2919

Benefits of Wisdom

21My son, do not let wisdom leave your sight. 27Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in your power to act.H4513H2896H1167H410H3027H6213 28Do not say to your neighbor, "Go, and come back. I will pay you tomorrow," when you have cash with you.H559H7453H3212H7725H4279H5414H3426 29Do not plan to harm your neighbor, when he is living peacefully beside you.H2790H7451H7453H3427H983 30Do not bring a lawsuit against a person for no reason, when he has done you no harm.H7378H120H2600H1580H7451 31Do not envy a violent man, and do not emulate his lifestyle.H7065H376H2555H977H1870 32Indeed, a perverse man is utterly disgusting to the Lord, but he takes the upright into his confidence.H3868H8441H3068H5475H3477 33The Lord's curse is on the house of the wicked, but he blesses the dwelling of the righteous.H3994H3068H1004H7563H1288H5116H6662 34Though God scoffs at scoffers, he gives grace to the humble.H3887H3887H5414H2580H6035H6041 35The wise will inherit honor, but he holds fools up for ridicule.H2450H5157H3519H7036H7311H3684
