How to get started

Prayer Tents is a venue where you can dialogue with Christians and receive prayers for your specific situation. There is nothing that is impossible for God, and He wants you to come to know Him and His love for you. We understand that this may not be easy to accept or you may need some time before being able to share your life and open it up for prayer. This is why Prayer Tents has been designed so you can open up as much as you are willing, with the hope that you can find trust in the Christians you will meet and ultimately spend time with them in prayer and see your prayers get answered.

Find out about God through Christians near you

All items below, you are allowed to do anonymously. The intent is for you to explore as you feel comfortable, and reach out to someone (or a church community) when you feel comfortable.

• Connect with a Christian Near You – this will begin the matchmaking to connect you to someone near you.
• Check out local churches – browse churches by your location. Click on each and see their sermons or other media they provide. See if the message provides meaning to you or if you can find yourself fitting in that community.
• Read post of Christians - Be challenged or encouraged by messages of Christians around you by reading what they have written. Interact with them by replying to the message with your thoughts.
• Post a prayer request or ask a question to Christians near you – Not sure if you want to talk through your requests, or ever wonder how Christian think or make decisions? What does the Bible say? Post your prayer requests or ask your questions anonymously. Then as Christians respond, you can interact and get involved.
• Find a church or Christian – use this to look for a specific church you know or refer back to the Christian that you may have spoken to before

Christians

As Christians, you need to be sure that you are setup so that people can reach out to you or your church when they would like. This means …

• Sign up – this is required in order to perform other functions below
• Register your church – so others can find your church
• Take ownership of your church – so you can help others see what your church can provide and show that the information provided is accurate and trustworthy
• Volunteer - help your and other churches to be more impactful and reach more people. There are various ways to help such as translations, marketing, developing how-to media, writing articles, etc. See entire list of known help-needed in Trello.
• Share church meetings and gatherings (Login required)– so others can know about it, contact you for information, and join you
• Post a message (Login required) - People in your area can read what you have written and be encouraged. Through your writing, you can initiate a discussion with your readers, and you may even provide a time of refreshing for them even though you may not be able to see it.
