Since we have these promises, let us fear the Lord by coming before him to honor him and depending on him, expectantly, for the fulfillment of his promises. I don't know how many times God shows me through my life that if I had just trusted in his promises and in his character, that the outcome would have been different; the very least, that my health and sanity would be more intact. Why do we do this to ourselves? It makes no sense...
I don't know what the standards for "those who deserve it" are.. does anyone deserve God's grace? But I think this qualification exists to encourage wisdom and discretion when helping others. That being said, God, I trust verses 25-26-that you are my security, that you are my protector and that you are always guiding me away from the snare. Holding fast to these promises, I would like to do as you say and not withhold any good that I could do others.
25You need not be afraid of sudden disaster or the destruction that comes upon the wicked, 26for the Lord is your security. He will keep your foot from being caught in a trap. 27Do not withhold good from those who deserve it when it’s in your power to help them.

This is a promise. Eat that humble pie and grow wealthy. At the least, heeding correction and acting on criticism (instead of reacting. Be flexible!) will bring you honor.
