How does registration work? Why only Christians?

Registration is not required to use Prayer Tents website because the intention is to allow users to be anonymous while being able to interact truthfully. Christians, on the other hand, must be recognizable and be reachable by those that are seeking them out.

However, there are strict standards that Christians must uphold. Prayer Tents requires you to demonstrate two key commitments as you sign up. Additionally, email verification is required to confirm communication via email is valid.
1. Acceptance of Statement of Faith. This is the basic Christian faith. If there are any parts that are not acceptable, you may not represent yourself as a Christian and interact with others stating so.
2. Your part in a local church. A Christian recognizes that they are part of a bigger community. A person that claims to be a Christian without being part of a locally-present Christian body does not fit in with the Biblical view of a follower of Christ. This also allows the church to monitor and confirm the proper faith of this Christian.

What other functions will I be able to use once I register as a Christian?
1. Ability to add gatherings. This can be official church meetings, unofficial hang outs, dinners, etc.
2. Ability to receive prayer requests
3. Posting messages, both for Christians or the general public
4. No more dependence on browser memory (cookies). Your chat history will not be lost as you change your devices.
Other features include automatically recognizing you when filling out forms

Prayer Tents is a Christian mission organization that serves Christians around the world and their local bodies to make disciples ("evangelize") more effectively in their communities. Prayer Tents provides resources to enable Christians to form discipleship-focused small groups and make their gatherings known so that other "interested" people may participate and experience Christ in their midst. Our Vision is to make disciples in all nations through the local churches so that anyone seeking God can come to know Him through relationships with other Christians near them.
