Horses and Oxen
God made them different. Both strong and capable, but oxen are not controllable in war. Horses may not be as strong, but can be tamed. Ostriches are faster than horses, but are not smart. God created all these things differently to make the world work as it does.
Humans seem to be a combination of those characteristics. Some people may have different strengths, yet their temperament may not be refined. Those who may not be as strong may be molded and developed so that they may be valuable.
God's creations shows us the foolishness of and God's gifting to the world. It is amazing that we partake in both! Even with our imperfections, God calls us to something extraordinary.
9“Will the wild ox consent to being tamed? Will it spend the night in your stall? 10Can you hitch a wild ox to a plow? Will it plow a field for you? 11Given its strength, can you trust it? Can you leave and trust the ox to do your work? 18But whenever she jumps up to run, she passes the swiftest horse with its rider. 19“Have you given the horse its strength or clothed its neck with a flowing mane? 25It snorts at the sound of the horn. It senses the battle in the distance. It quivers at the captain’s commands and the noise of battle.
