Broken Unity.
God calls us to unity, one heart, and one direction. Just as He led people out of Egypt to the Promised Land, He desires us to be of one heart heading toward one direction. Yet, notice that the forces of evil are divided: they hate each other and they vie for power—we are not to be that way.
God was upset with the people who wanted to go back to Egypt, go their own ways, and serve other gods. And we too must be careful to not fall away.
Consider your heart attitudes toward other Christians. Are you able to follow as much as influence/lead? Is your life rooted in Scriptures and have a passionate desire to remain in Him?
Don't lose this battle. Jesus has already won the war. The battle is now for our hearts. Stay strong.
16The scarlet beast and his ten horns all hate the prostitute. They will strip her naked, eat her flesh, and burn her remains with fire. 17For God has put a plan into their minds, a plan that will carry out his purposes. They will agree to give their authority to the scarlet beast, and so the words of God will be fulfilled.
