Do people fear God because of you?
In our days, I don't think people fear God much. From so-called Christians who see God as a genie to do as they please, to people who do not see a powerful God.
Let us, instead, be people of influence and testify that it is God who enables us, despite what may seem to be impossible.
In the passages today, the enemies have heard about God and fear Him. Let's make that the standard, that people fear God and even us because the mighty hand of God is upon us.
6“What’s going on?” the Philistines asked. “What’s all the shouting about in the Hebrew camp?” When they were told it was because the Ark of the LORD had arrived, 7they panicked. “The gods have come into their camp!” they cried. “This is a disaster! We have never had to face anything like this before! 8Help! Who can save us from these mighty gods of Israel? They are the same gods who destroyed the Egyptians with plagues when Israel was in the wilderness.
