It seems like the end times because of everything happening rumors of wars, pandemics almost the whole world has heard the gospel, love has grown cold and wickedness has increased, many don't believe. And I don't think it is wrong to have a girlfriend but if it is the end time should I? I know it is a complicated question but I don't know.

Answer

My concern about your view on the end times is that the popular media may be influencing you. Yes, the signs for the end times exist, and Jesus can come back any time, but the call for Christians is to be ready at all times (See Matthew 24:42, 44, see also Matthew 25:1-13), then continue to live on for the Lord. People who do not believe in Jesus may worry about those things, but Christians would welcome Jesus to return any time, but while waiting, we keep pressing on living in the world, though we are not of it.

If anyone suggests that Jesus will return in the next five years, you should be careful (see Matthew 24:36). A logic that helps me is that people living in the first century also rationalized that all the prophecies have been fulfilled and that Jesus is coming soon. Today, we, too, can certainly see the signs, but that time is reserved for God alone. Yet, we do not need to ever worry about when that is because we will be ok as long as we abide in Him.

Now, about your desire for a girlfriend... I encourage you to try to see it from what God desires of you. To minimize any confusion, I agree with you that it is not wrong, and again I want to emphasize it is your heart that matters. With that in mind, can you share with me how you should go about your thoughts about finding a girlfriend? Try to think in terms of the lifelong views and goals that God has for you.

I sincerely hope you are either in or can find a good local church where there would be a small group of peers like you who want to live for the Lord. I would certainly love to help you along the way, but life goes beyond just talking over email, and life together with other Christians like you would probably help you grow in faith and friendships too. That is why you need a local church. By the way, there is no such thing as a Christian who walks alone. Jesus called us the body of Christ, the Church.

Prayer Tents is a Christian mission organization that serves Christians around the world and their local bodies to make disciples ("evangelize") more effectively in their communities. Prayer Tents provides resources to enable Christians to form discipleship-focused small groups and make their gatherings known so that other "interested" people may participate and experience Christ in their midst. Our Vision is to make disciples in all nations through the local churches so that anyone seeking God can come to know Him through relationships with other Christians near them.
