Answer

Hi,

Thank you for the excellent question.

Let's first look at the positive. Today, many people isolate themselves when God has called us to relationships. It is good that you seek out relationships! He calls us to a relationship with Himself and others (called the Church).

Yet, when looking directly at the concepts of introverts and extroverts, both have flaws and benefits. Extroverts tend to have light relationships (if that is a relationship) that may be with many people. In contrast, introverts tend to have deeper relationships with a few (but some do not have any relationships at all). If you feel the former is right about you, you can redeem that by truly learning about others deeply and possibly caring more about others.

Consider these verses (read the entire chapter):

Philippians 2:3-4 (NLT)
Don't be selfish; don't try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves. Don't look out only for your own interests, but take an interest in others, too.

Just like the story of the Good Samaritan (Luke 10) or what Jesus will say when He judges us in the end (Matthew 25, see verse 45, for example), as we love others, we love God too. As we relate with others and become the Church of Jesus Christ, we relate with God.

Seeking "sinful" actions, as you state, is the state of being selfish and not caring about others but yourself alone. What helped me in my growing years was the thought that I may be hurting my future relationships, especially with my future wife, by some sinful acts today. For example, perhaps I desired companionship with a woman so that I may seek out many. Yet, that leads to the consideration that "divorce" (or breaking up, having non-committed relationships) is acceptable. Perhaps pornography may impair your perceptions and lead you not to love your wife as deeply as you ought to. Consider other "sinful" acts and correlate them with the Scriptures. If you need help deciphering, feel free to write back.

I applaud you for being aware of yourself and asking the question. I pray God will use you in a mighty way. Be strong, brother.

Many blessings.
