Ezekiel 3

3And he said to me, "Son of man, eat whatever you find here. Eat this scroll, and go, speak to the house of Israel."H559H1121H120H398H4672H398H4039H3212H1696H1004H34782So I opened my mouth, and he gave me this scroll to eat.H6605H6310H398H40393And he said to me, "Son of man, feed your belly with this scroll that I give you and fill your stomach with it." Then I ate it, and it was in my mouth as sweet as honey.H559H1121H120H990H398H4390H4578H4039H5414H398H6310H1706H49664And he said to me, "Son of man, go to the house of Israel and speak with my words to them.H559H1121H120H3212H935H1004H3478H1696H16975For you are not sent to a people of foreign speech and a hard language, but to the house of Israel—H7971H5971H6012H8193H3515H3956H1004H34786not to many peoples of foreign speech and a hard language, whose words you cannot understand. Surely, if I sent you to such, they would listen to you.H7227H5971H6012H8193H3515H3956H1697H8085H7971H80857But the house of Israel will not be willing to listen to you, for they are not willing to listen to me: because all the house of Israel have a hard forehead and a stubborn heart.H1004H3478H14H8085H14H8085H1004H3478H2389H4696H7186H38208Behold, I have made your face as hard as their faces, and your forehead as hard as their foreheads.H5414H6440H2389H5980H6440H4696H2389H5980H46969Like emery harder than flint have I made your forehead. Fear them not, nor be dismayed at their looks, for they are a rebellious house."H8068H2389H6864H5414H4696H3372H2865H6440H4805H100410Moreover, he said to me, "Son of man, all my words that I shall speak to you receive in your heart, and hear with your ears.H559H1121H120H1697H1696H3947H3824H8085H24111And go to the exiles, to your people, and speak to them and say to them, 'Thus says the Lord GOD,' whether they hear or refuse to hear."H3212H935H1473H1121H5971H1696H559H559H136H3069H8085H230812Then the Spirit lifted me up, and I heard behind me the voice of a great earthquake: "Blessed be the glory of the LORD from its place!"H7307H5375H8085H310H6963H1419H7494H1288H3519H3068H472513It was the sound of the wings of the living creatures as they touched one another, and the sound of the wheels beside them, and the sound of a great earthquake.H6963H3671H2416H5401H802H269H6963H212H5980H6963H1419H749414The Spirit lifted me up and took me away, and I went in bitterness in the heat of my spirit, the hand of the LORD being strong upon me.H7307H5375H3947H3212H4751H2534H7307H3027H3068H238815And I came to the exiles at Tel-abib, who were dwelling by the Chebar canal, and I sat where they were dwelling. And I sat there overwhelmed among them seven days.H935H1473H8512H3427H5104H3529H3427H3427H3427H8074H8432H7651H3117

A Watchman for Israel

16And at the end of seven days, the word of the LORD came to me:H7097H7651H3117H1697H3068H55917"Son of man, I have made you a watchman for the house of Israel. Whenever you hear a word from my mouth, you shall give them warning from me.H1121H120H5414H6822H1004H3478H8085H1697H6310H209418If I say to the wicked, 'You shall surely die,' and you give him no warning, nor speak to warn the wicked from his wicked way, in order to save his life, that wicked person shall die for his iniquity, but his blood I will require at your hand.H559H7563H4191H4191H2094H1696H2094H7563H7563H1870H2421H7563H4191H5771H1818H1245H302719But if you warn the wicked, and he does not turn from his wickedness, or from his wicked way, he shall die for his iniquity, but you will have delivered your soul.H2094H7563H7725H7562H7563H1870H4191H5771H5337H531520Again, if a righteous person turns from his righteousness and commits injustice, and I lay a stumbling block before him, he shall die. Because you have not warned him, he shall die for his sin, and his righteous deeds that he has done shall not be remembered, but his blood I will require at your hand.H7725H6662H7725H6664H6213H5766H5414H4383H6440H4191H2094H4191H2403H6666H6213H2142H1818H1245H302721But if you warn the righteous person not to sin, and he does not sin, he shall surely live, because he took warning, and you will have delivered your soul."H2094H6662H6662H2398H2398H2421H2421H2094H5337H531522And the hand of the LORD was upon me there. And he said to me, "Arise, go out into the valley, and there I will speak with you."H3027H3068H559H6965H3318H1237H169623So I arose and went out into the valley, and behold, the glory of the LORD stood there, like the glory that I had seen by the Chebar canal, and I fell on my face.H6965H3318H1237H3519H3068H5975H3519H7200H5104H3529H5307H644024But the Spirit entered into me and set me on my feet, and he spoke with me and said to me, "Go, shut yourself within your house.H7307H935H5975H7272H1696H559H935H5462H8432H100425And you, O son of man, behold, cords will be placed upon you, and you shall be bound with them, so that you cannot go out among the people.H1121H120H5414H5688H631H3318H843226And I will make your tongue cling to the roof of your mouth, so that you shall be mute and unable to reprove them, for they are a rebellious house.H3956H1692H2441H481H376H3198H4805H100427But when I speak with you, I will open your mouth, and you shall say to them, 'Thus says the Lord GOD.' He who will hear, let him hear; and he who will refuse to hear, let him refuse, for they are a rebellious house.H1696H854H6605H6310H559H559H136H3069H8085H8085H2310H2308H4805H1004

Prayer Tents is a Christian mission organization that serves Christians around the world and their local bodies to make disciples ("evangelize") more effectively in their communities. Prayer Tents provides resources to enable Christians to form discipleship-focused small groups and make their gatherings known so that other "interested" people may participate and experience Christ in their midst. Our Vision is to make disciples in all nations through the local churches so that anyone seeking God can come to know Him through relationships with other Christians near them.
