Genesis 6

Increasing Corruption on Earth

6When man began to multiply on the face of the land and daughters were born to them,H120H2490H7231H5921H6440H127H1323H32052the sons of God saw that the daughters of man were attractive. And they took as their wives any they chose.H1121H430H7200H1323H120H2007H2896H3947H802H9773Then the LORD said, "My Spirit shall not abide in man forever, for he is flesh: his days shall be 120 years."H3068H559H7307H5769H1777H120H1571H1320H7683H3117H3967H6242H81414The Nephilim were on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of man and they bore children to them. These were the mighty men who were of old, the men of renown.H5303H776H3117H310H3651H834H1121H430H935H1323H120H3205H1992H1368H5769H582H80345The LORD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intention of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.H3068H7200H7451H120H7227H776H3336H4284H3820H7535H7451H31176And the LORD was sorry that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him to his heart.H5162H3068H6213H120H776H6087H413H38207So the LORD said, "I will blot out man whom I have created from the face of the land, man and animals and creeping things and birds of the heavens, for I am sorry that I have made them."H3068H559H4229H120H1254H6440H127H120H5704H929H7431H5775H8064H5162H62138But Noah found favor in the eyes of the LORD.H5146H4672H2580H5869H3068

Noah and the Flood

9These are the generations of Noah. Noah was a righteous man, blameless in his generation. Noah walked with God.H8435H5146H5146H6662H376H8549H1755H5146H1980H43010And Noah had three sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth.H5146H3205H7969H1121H8035H2526H331511Now the earth was corrupt in God's sight, and the earth was filled with violence.H776H7843H6440H430H776H4390H255512And God saw the earth, and behold, it was corrupt, for all flesh had corrupted their way on the earth.H430H7200H776H7843H1320H7843H1870H77613And God said to Noah, "I have determined to make an end of all flesh, for the earth is filled with violence through them. Behold, I will destroy them with the earth.H430H559H5146H7093H1320H935H6440H776H4390H2555H6440H7843H854H77614Make yourself an ark of gopher wood. Make rooms in the ark, and cover it inside and out with pitch.H6213H8392H1613H6086H7064H6213H854H8392H3722H1004H2351H372415This is how you are to make it: the length of the ark 300 cubits, its breadth 50 cubits, and its height 30 cubits.H6213H753H8392H7969H3967H520H7341H2572H520H6967H7970H52016Make a roof for the ark, and finish it to a cubit above, and set the door of the ark in its side. Make it with lower, second, and third decks.H6672H6213H8392H520H3615H4605H6607H8392H7760H6654H8482H8145H7992H621317For behold, I will bring a flood of waters upon the earth to destroy all flesh in which is the breath of life under heaven. Everything that is on the earth shall die.H2009H589H935H3999H4325H776H7843H1320H7307H2416H8478H8064H3605H776H147818But I will establish my covenant with you, and you shall come into the ark, you, your sons, your wife, and your sons' wives with you.H6965H1285H935H413H8392H859H1121H802H1121H80219And of every living thing of all flesh, you shall bring two of every sort into the ark to keep them alive with you. They shall be male and female.H2416H1320H8147H935H8392H2421H2145H534720Of the birds according to their kinds, and of the animals according to their kinds, of every creeping thing of the ground, according to its kind, two of every sort shall come in to you to keep them alive.H5775H4327H929H4327H7431H127H4327H8147H935H242121Also take with you every sort of food that is eaten, and store it up. It shall serve as food for you and for them."H3947H3978H398H622H40222Noah did this; he did all that God commanded him.H6213H5146H430H6680H6213

Prayer Tents is a Christian mission organization that serves Christians around the world and their local bodies to make disciples ("evangelize") more effectively in their communities. Prayer Tents provides resources to enable Christians to form discipleship-focused small groups and make their gatherings known so that other "interested" people may participate and experience Christ in their midst. Our Vision is to make disciples in all nations through the local churches so that anyone seeking God can come to know Him through relationships with other Christians near them.
