The Philistines Defeated

8Now when the Philistines heard that David had been anointed king over all Israel, all the Philistines went up to search for David. And David heard of it and went out against them.H6430H8085H1732H4886H4428H3478H6430H5927H1245H1732H1732H8085H3318H64409Then the Philistines went and made a raid on the Valley of Rephaim.H6430H935H6584H6010H749710And David inquired of God, saying, "Shall I go up against the Philistines? Will You deliver them into my hand?" And the LORD said to him, "Go up, for I will deliver them into your hand."H1732H7592H430H559H5927H6430H5414H3027H3068H559H5927H5414H302711So they went up to Baal Perazim, and David defeated them there. Then David said, "God has broken through my enemies by my hand like a breakthrough of water." Therefore they called the name of that place Baal Perazim.H5927H1188H1732H5221H1732H559H430H6555H341H3027H6556H4325H7121H8034H4725H118812And when they left their gods there, David gave a commandment, and they were burned with fire.H5800H430H1732H559H8313H78413Then the Philistines once again made a raid on the valley.H6430H3254H6584H601014Therefore David inquired again of God, and God said to him, "You shall not go up after them; circle around them, and come upon them in front of the mulberry trees.H1732H7592H430H430H559H5927H310H5437H935H4136H105715"And it shall be, when you hear a sound of marching in the tops of the mulberry trees, then you shall go out to battle, for God has gone out before you to strike the camp of the Philistines."H8085H6963H6807H7218H1057H3318H4421H430H3318H6440H5221H4264H643016So David did as God commanded him, and they drove back the army of the Philistines from Gibeon as far as Gezer.H1732H6213H430H6680H5221H4264H6430H1391H150717Then the fame of David went out into all lands, and the LORD brought the fear of him upon all nations.H8034H1732H3318H776H3068H5414H6343H1471
