Prophecy against Tyre

28This message came to me from the Lord:H1697H3068H559 2"Son of Man, tell Tyre's commander-in-chief, 'This is what the Lord God says: "Because your heart is arrogant, and because you keep saying, 'I have taken my seat, I am a god, seated in God's seat right in the middle of the sea,' "and because you're a man, and not a god, even though you pretend that you have a god-like heart…H1121H120H559H5057H6865H559H136H3069H3820H1361H559H410H3427H4186H430H3820H3220H120H410H5414H3820H3820H430 3Look! You're wiser than Daniel, aren't you?No secret is too mysterious for you!H2450H1840H5640H6004 4Your wisdom and understanding brought you phenomenal wealth. You've brought gold and silver into your treasuries.H2451H8394H6213H2428H6213H2091H3701H214 5By your great wisdom, by your skills in trading you have amassed wealth for yourself and your heart has become arrogant because of your wealth."'"H7230H2451H7404H7235H2428H3824H1361H2428 6'Therefore this is what the Lord God says: "Because you've made your heart like that of GodH559H136H3069H5414H3820H3824H430 7Therefore, look! I'm bringing foreigners in your direction, the most terrifying of nations! They will direct their violence against the grandeur that you've created by your wisdom.H935H2114H6184H1471H7324H2719H3308H2451H2490H3314 8They'll send you down to the Pit, and you'll die defiled in the depths of the sea.H3381H7845H4191H4463H2491H3820H3220 9Is that when you'll say "I'm God" to the face of those who will be killing you? After all, you're a man, and have never been a god, especially when you're under the control of those who will defile you!H559H559H6440H2026H430H120H410H3027H2490 10You will die a death fit for the uncircumcised at the hand of foreigners." 'for I have said it will be so,' declares the Lord."H4191H4194H6189H3027H2114H1696H5002H136H3069

A Rebuke for Tyre’s King

11Another message came to me from the Lord, and this is what it said:H1697H3068H559 12"Son of Man, start singing this lamentation for the king of Tyre. Tell him, 'This is what the Lord God says: "You served as my model, my example of complete wisdom and perfect beauty.H1121H120H5375H7015H4428H6865H559H559H136H3069H2856H8508H4392H2451H3632H3308 13You used to be in Eden?God's paradise! You wore precious stones for clothing: ruby, topaz, diamond, beryl, onyx, jasper, sapphire, turquoise, and carbuncle. Your settings were crafted in gold, along with your engravings. On the day of your creation they had been prepared!H5731H1588H430H3368H68H4540H124H6357H3095H8658H7718H3471H5601H5306H1304H2091H4399H8596H5345H3559H3117H1254 14"You were the anointed cherub; having been set in place on the holy mountain of God, you walked in the midst of fiery stones.H4473H3742H5526H5414H6944H2022H430H1980H8432H68H784 15You were blameless in your behavior from the day you were created until wickedness was discovered in you.H8549H1870H3117H1254H5766H4672 16In the vastness of your trade that filled you with violence from top to bottom you sinned, so I cast you away as defiled from the mountain of God. I destroyed you, you guardian cherub, from the midst of the fiery stones.H7230H7404H4390H8432H2555H2398H2490H2022H430H6H5526H3742H8432H68H784 17Your heart grew arrogant because of your beauty; you annihilated your own wisdom because of your splendor. Then I threw you to the ground in the presence of kings, giving them a good look at you!H3820H1361H3308H7843H2451H5921H3314H7993H776H5414H6440H4428H7200 18By all of your iniquity and unrighteous businesses you defiled your sanctuaries, so I'm going to bring out fire from within you and burn you to ashes on the earth before the whole watching world!H2490H4720H7230H5771H5766H7404H3318H784H8432H398H5414H665H776H5869H7200 19Everyone who knows you throughout all the nations will be appalled at your calamity and you shall no longer exist forever."'"H3045H5971H8074H1091H369H5704H5769

The Judgment of Sidon

20Another message came to me from the Lord, who had this to say:H1697H3068H559 21"Son of Man, turn your attention to Sidon and prophesy against her.H1121H120H7760H6440H6721H5012 22Tell her: 'Pay attention to me, Sidon! I'm against you, and I'm going to glorify myself right in your midst.' They'll learn that I am the Lord when I bring about these punishments and manifest my holiness in her midst.H559H559H136H3069H6721H3513H8432H3045H3068H6213H8201H6942 23I'm going to send disease into that city and blood into her streets. People will drop dead in her midst from the violence done to her from every side. Then they'll learn that I am the Lord God.'"H7971H1698H1818H2351H2491H5307H8432H2719H5439H3045H3068

The Future Regathering of Israel

24"The house of Israel will never again suffer from painful briers and sharp thornbushes that surround them on every side, and they will learn that I am the Lord.H3992H5544H1004H3478H3510H6975H5439H7590H3045H136H3069 25This is what the Lord God says: 'When I gather the house of Israel from the nations to which I've scattered them, I will show them my holiness before the watching world, and they will live on the land that I have to my servant Jacob.H559H136H3069H6908H1004H3478H5971H6327H6942H5869H1471H3427H127H5414H5650H3290 26They will live in safety in the land, building houses and planting vineyards. They'll live in safety while I administer judgment on everyone who maligns them among those who surround them. At that time they'll learn that I am the Lord their God.'"H3427H983H1129H1004H5193H3754H3427H983H6213H8201H7590H5439H3045H3068H430
