14Then the LORD said to Moses,H3068H1696H4872H559 2"Tell the people of Israel to turn back and encamp in front of Pi-hahiroth, between Migdol and the sea, in front of Baal-zephon; you shall encamp facing it, by the sea.H1696H1121H3478H7725H2583H6440H6367H4024H3220H6440H1189H5226H2583H3220 3For Pharaoh will say of the people of Israel, 'They are wandering in the land; the wilderness has shut them in.'H6547H559H1121H3478H943H776H4057H5462 4And I will harden Pharaoh's heart, and he will pursue them, and I will get glory over Pharaoh and all his host, and the Egyptians shall know that I am the LORD." And they did so.H2388H6547H3820H7291H310H3513H6547H2428H4714H3045H3068H6213 5When the king of Egypt was told that the people had fled, the mind of Pharaoh and his servants was changed toward the people, and they said, "What is this we have done, that we have let Israel go from serving us?"H5046H4428H4714H5971H1272H3824H6547H5650H2015H5971H559H6213H3478H7971H5647 6So he made ready his chariot and took his army with him,H631H7393H3947H5971 7and took six hundred chosen chariots and all the other chariots of Egypt with officers over all of them.H3947H8337H3967H977H7393H7393H4714H7991 8And the LORD hardened the heart of Pharaoh king of Egypt, and he pursued the people of Israel while the people of Israel were going out defiantly.H3068H2388H3820H6547H4428H4714H7291H310H1121H3478H1121H3478H3318H7311H3027 9The Egyptians pursued them, all Pharaoh's horses and chariots and his horsemen and his army, and overtook them encamped at the sea, by Pi-hahiroth, in front of Baal-zephon.H4714H7291H310H5483H7393H6547H6571H2428H5381H2583H3220H6367H6440H1189 10When Pharaoh drew near, the people of Israel lifted up their eyes, and behold, the Egyptians were marching after them, and they feared greatly. And the people of Israel cried out to the LORD.H6547H7126H1121H3478H5375H5869H4714H5265H310H3966H3372H1121H3478H6817H3068 11They said to Moses, "Is it because there are no graves in Egypt that you have taken us away to die in the wilderness? What have you done to us in bringing us out of Egypt?H559H4872H6913H4714H3947H4191H4057H2063H6213H3318H4714 12Is not this what we said to you in Egypt: 'Leave us alone that we may serve the Egyptians'? For it would have been better for us to serve the Egyptians than to die in the wilderness."H1697H1696H4714H559H2308H5647H4714H2896H5647H4714H4191H4057 13And Moses said to the people, "Fear not, stand firm, and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will work for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall never see again.H4872H559H5971H3372H3320H7200H3444H3068H6213H3117H4714H7200H3117H7200H3254H5704H5769 14The LORD will fight for you, and you have only to be silent."H3068H3898H2790 15The LORD said to Moses, "Why do you cry to me? Tell the people of Israel to go forward.H3068H559H4872H6817H1696H1121H3478H5265 16Lift up your staff, and stretch out your hand over the sea and divide it, that the people of Israel may go through the sea on dry ground.H7311H4294H5186H3027H3220H1234H1121H3478H935H3004H8432H3220 17And I will harden the hearts of the Egyptians so that they shall go in after them, and I will get glory over Pharaoh and all his host, his chariots, and his horsemen.H2388H3820H4714H935H310H3513H6547H2428H7393H6571 18And the Egyptians shall know that I am the LORD, when I have gotten glory over Pharaoh, his chariots, and his horsemen."H4714H3045H3068H3513H6547H7393H6571 19Then the angel of God who was going before the host of Israel moved and went behind them, and the pillar of cloud moved from before them and stood behind them,H4397H430H1980H6440H4264H3478H5265H3212H310H5982H6051H5265H6440H5975H310 20coming between the host of Egypt and the host of Israel. And there was the cloud and the darkness. And it lit up the night without one coming near the other all night.H935H4264H4714H4264H3478H6051H2822H215H3915H7126H2088H3915 21Then Moses stretched out his hand over the sea, and the LORD drove the sea back by a strong east wind all night and made the sea dry land, and the waters were divided.H4872H5186H3027H3220H3068H3220H3212H5794H6921H7307H3915H7760H3220H2724H4325H1234 22And the people of Israel went into the midst of the sea on dry ground, the waters being a wall to them on their right hand and on their left.H1121H3478H935H8432H3220H3004H4325H2346H3225H8040 23The Egyptians pursued and went in after them into the midst of the sea, all Pharaoh's horses, his chariots, and his horsemen.H4714H7291H935H310H8432H3220H6547H5483H7393H6571 24And in the morning watch the LORD in the pillar of fire and of cloud looked down on the Egyptian forces and threw the Egyptian forces into a panic,H1242H821H3068H8259H4264H4714H5982H784H6051H2000H4264H4714 25clogging their chariot wheels so that they drove heavily. And the Egyptians said, "Let us flee from before Israel, for the LORD fights for them against the Egyptians."H5493H4818H212H5090H3517H4714H559H5127H6440H3478H3068H3898H4714 26Then the LORD said to Moses, "Stretch out your hand over the sea, that the water may come back upon the Egyptians, upon their chariots, and upon their horsemen."H3068H559H4872H5186H3027H3220H4325H7725H4714H7393H6571 27So Moses stretched out his hand over the sea, and the sea returned to its normal course when the morning appeared. And as the Egyptians fled into it, the LORD threw the Egyptians into the midst of the sea.H4872H5186H3027H3220H3220H7725H386H1242H6437H4714H5127H7125H3068H5287H4714H8432H3220 28The waters returned and covered the chariots and the horsemen; of all the host of Pharaoh that had followed them into the sea, not one of them remained.H4325H7725H3680H7393H6571H2428H6547H935H3220H310H7604H5704H259 29But the people of Israel walked on dry ground through the sea, the waters being a wall to them on their right hand and on their left.H1121H3478H1980H3004H8432H3220H4325H2346H3225H8040 30Thus the LORD saved Israel that day from the hand of the Egyptians, and Israel saw the Egyptians dead on the seashore.H3068H3467H3478H3117H3027H4714H3478H7200H4714H4191H3220H8193 31Israel saw the great power that the LORD used against the Egyptians, so the people feared the LORD, and they believed in the LORD and in his servant Moses.H3478H7200H1419H3027H3068H6213H4714H5971H3372H3068H539H3068H5650H4872
