Children of God Love One Another

3SEE WHAT [an incredible] quality of love the Father has given (shown, bestowed on) us, that we should [be permitted to] be named {and} called {and} counted the children of God! And so we are! The reason that the world does not know (recognize, acknowledge) us is that it does not know (recognize, acknowledge) Him.G1492G4217G26G3962G1325G2254G2443G2564G5043G2316G1223G5124G2889G1097G2248G3756G3754G1097G846G37562Beloved, we are [even here and] now God's children; it is not yet disclosed (made clear) what we shall be [hereafter], but we know that when He comes {and} is manifested, we shall [as God's children] resemble {and} be like Him, for we shall see Him just as He [really] is.G27G3568G2070G5043G2316G2532G5319G3768G5319G5101G2071G1161G1492G3754G1437G5319G2071G3664G846G3754G3700G846G2531G20763And everyone who has this hope [resting] on Him cleanses (purifies) himself just as He is pure (chaste, undefiled, guiltless).G2532G3956G2192G5026G1680G1909G846G48G1438G2531G1565G2076G534Everyone who commits (practices) sin is guilty of lawlessness; for [that is what] sin is, lawlessness (the breaking, violating of God's law by transgression or neglect--being unrestrained and unregulated by His commands and His will).G3956G4160G266G4160G458G2532G458G2532G266G2076G4585You know that He appeared in visible form {and} became Man to take away [upon Himself] sins, and in Him there is no sin [essentially and forever].G2532G1492G3754G1565G5319G2443G142G2257G266G2532G1722G846G2076G3756G2666No one who abides in Him [who lives and remains in communion with and in obedience to Him--deliberately, knowingly, and habitually] commits (practices) sin. No one who [habitually] sins has either seen {or} known Him [recognized, perceived, or understood Him, or has had an experiential acquaintance with Him].G3956G3306G1722G846G264G3756G3956G264G3708G3756G3708G846G3761G1097G8467Boys (lads), let no one deceive {and} lead you astray. He who practices righteousness [who is upright, conforming to the divine will in purpose, thought, and action, living a consistently conscientious life] is righteous, even as He is righteous.G5040G4105G3367G4105G5209G4160G1343G2076G1342G2531G1565G2076G13428[But] he who commits sin [who practices evildoing] is of the devil [takes his character from the evil one], for the devil has sinned (violated the divine law) from the beginning. The reason the Son of God was made manifest (visible) was to undo (destroy, loosen, and dissolve) the works the devil [has done].G4160G266G2076G1537G1228G3754G1228G264G575G746G1519G5124G5207G2316G5319G2443G3089G2041G12289No one born (begotten) of God [deliberately, knowingly, and habitually] practices sin, for God's nature abides in him [His principle of life, the divine sperm, remains permanently within him]; and he cannot practice sinning because he is born (begotten) of God.G3956G1080G1537G2316G4160G3756G266G3754G846G4690G3306G1722G846G2532G3756G1410G264G3754G1080G1537G231610By this it is made clear who take their nature from God {and} are His children and who take their nature from the devil {and} are his children: no one who does not practice righteousness [who does not conform to God's will in purpose, thought, and action] is of God; neither is anyone who does not love his brother (his fellow believer in Christ).G1722G5129G5043G2316G2076G5318G2532G5043G1228G3956G4160G3361G1343G2076G3756G1537G2316G2532G25G3361G846G8011For this is the message (the announcement) which you have heard from the first, that we should love one another,G3754G3778G2076G31G3739G191G575G746G2443G25G24012[And] not be like Cain who [took his nature and got his motivation] from the evil one and slew his brother. And why did he slay him? Because his deeds (activities, works) were wicked {and} malicious and his brother's were righteous (virtuous).G3756G2531G2535G2258G1537G4190G2532G4969G846G80G2532G5484G5101G4969G846G3754G846G2041G2258G4190G1161G846G80G134213Do not be surprised {and} wonder, brethren, that the world detests {and} pursues you with hatred.G2296G3361G3450G80G1487G2889G3404G520914We know that we have passed over out of death into Life by the fact that we love the brethren (our fellow Christians). He who does not love abides (remains, is held and kept continually) in [spiritual] death.G1492G3754G2249G3327G1537G2288G1519G2222G3754G25G80G25G3361G80G3306G1722G228815Anyone who hates (abominates, detests) his brother [in Christ] is [at heart] a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding (persevering) within him.G3956G3404G846G80G2076G443G2532G1492G3754G3756G3956G443G2192G166G2222G3306G1722G84616By this we come to know (progressively to recognize, to perceive, to understand) the [essential] love: that He laid down His [own] life for us; and we ought to lay [our] lives down for [those who are our] brothers [in Him].G1722G5129G1097G26G3754G1565G5087G846G5590G5228G2257G2532G2249G3784G5087G5590G5228G8017But if anyone has this world's goods (resources for sustaining life) and sees his brother {and} fellow believer in need, yet closes his heart of compassion against him, how can the love of God live {and} remain in him?G1161G3739G302G2192G2889G979G2532G2334G846G80G2192G5532G2532G2808G846G4698G575G846G4459G3306G26G2316G1722G84618Little children, let us not love [merely] in theory {or} in speech but in deed and in truth (in practice and in sincerity).G3450G5040G25G3361G25G3056G3366G1100G235G2041G2532G22519By this we shall come to know (perceive, recognize, and understand) that we are of the Truth, and can reassure (quiet, conciliate, and pacify) our hearts in His presence,G2532G1722G5129G1097G3754G2070G1537G225G2532G3982G2257G2588G1715G84620Whenever our hearts in [tormenting] self-accusation make us feel guilty {and} condemn us. [For we are in God's hands.] For He is above {and} greater than our consciences (our hearts), and He knows (perceives and understands) everything [nothing is hidden from Him].G3754G1437G2257G2588G2607G3754G2316G2076G3187G2257G2588G2532G1097G395621And, beloved, if our consciences (our hearts) do not accuse us [if they do not make us feel guilty and condemn us], we have confidence (complete assurance and boldness) before God,G27G3362G2257G2588G2607G2257G3362G2192G3954G4314G231622And we receive from Him whatever we ask, because we [watchfully] obey His orders [observe His suggestions and injunctions, follow His plan for us] {and} [habitually] practice what is pleasing to Him.G2532G3739G1437G154G2983G3844G846G3754G5083G846G1785G2532G4160G701G846G179923And this is His order (His command, His injunction): that we should believe in (put our faith and trust in and adhere to and rely on) the name of His Son Jesus Christ (the Messiah), and that we should love one another, just as He has commanded us.G2532G3778G2076G846G1785G2443G4100G3686G846G5207G2424G5547G2532G25G240G2531G1325G2254G178524All who keep His commandments [who obey His orders and follow His plan, live and continue to live, to stay and] abide in Him, and He in them. [They let Christ be a home to them and they are the home of Christ.] And by this we know {and} understand {and} have the proof that He [really] lives {and} makes His home in us: by the [Holy] Spirit Whom He has given us.G2532G5083G846G1785G3306G1722G846G2532G846G1722G846G2532G1722G5129G1097G3754G3306G1722G2254G1537G4151G3739G1325G2254

Prayer Tents is a Christian mission organization that serves Christians around the world and their local bodies to make disciples ("evangelize") more effectively in their communities. Prayer Tents provides resources to enable Christians to form discipleship-focused small groups and make their gatherings known so that other "interested" people may participate and experience Christ in their midst. Our Vision is to make disciples in all nations through the local churches so that anyone seeking God can come to know Him through relationships with other Christians near them.
