Isaiah 29

Jerusalem Is Warned

29Woe, O Ariel, Ariel the city [where] David [once] camped! Add year to year, observe [your] feasts on schedule.H1945H740H740H7151H1732H2583H5595H8141H8141H5362H22822And I will bring distress to Ariel, And she shall be [a city of] lamenting and mourning; And she shall be like an Ariel to me.H6693H740H8386H592H7403And I will camp against you encircling [you,] And I will set siegeworks against you, And I will raise up battle towers against you.H2583H1754H6696H4674H6965H46944Then you shall be brought low; From the earth you shall speak, And from the dust [where] you are prostrate, Your words [shall come.] Your voice shall also be like that of a spirit from the ground, And your speech shall whisper from the dust.H8213H1696H776H565H7817H6083H6963H178H776H565H6850H60835But the multitude of your enemies shall become like fine dust, And the multitude of the ruthless ones like the chaff which blows away; And it shall happen instantly, suddenly.H1995H2114H1851H80H1995H6184H4671H5674H6621H65976From the LORD of hosts you will be punished with thunder and earthquake and loud noise, [With] whirlwind and tempest and the flame of a consuming fire.H6485H3068H6635H7482H7494H1419H6963H5492H5591H3851H398H7847And the multitude of all the nations who wage war against Ariel, Even all who wage war against her and her stronghold, and who distress her, Shall be like a dream, a vision of the night.H1995H1471H6633H740H6638H4685H6693H2472H3915H23778And it will be as when a hungry man dreams— And behold, he is eating; But when he awakens, his hunger is not satisfied, Or as when a thirsty man dreams— And behold, he is drinking, But when he awakens, behold, he is faint, And his thirst is not quenched. Thus the multitude of all the nations shall be, Who wage war against Mount Zion.H7457H2492H398H6974H5315H7386H834H6771H2492H8354H6974H5889H5315H8264H1995H1471H6633H2022H67269Be delayed and wait. Blind yourselves and be blind. They become drunk, but not with wine; They stagger, but not with strong drink.H4102H8539H8173H8173H7937H3196H5128H794110For the LORD has poured over you a spirit of deep sleep, He has shut your eyes, the prophets; And He has covered your heads, the seers.H3068H5258H7307H8639H6105H5869H5030H7218H2374H368011And the entire vision shall be to you like the words of a sealed book, which when they give it to the one who is literate, saying, "Please read this," he will say, "I cannot, for it is sealed."H2380H1697H5612H2856H5414H3045H559H7121H559H3201H285612Then the book will be given to the one who is illiterate, saying, " Please read this. "And he will say," I cannot read. "H5612H5414H3045H5612H559H7121H559H304513Then the Lord said, "Because this people draw near with their words And honor Me with their lip service, But they remove their hearts far from Me, And their reverence for Me consists of tradition learned [by rote,]H136H559H3282H5971H5066H6310H8193H3513H7368H3820H7368H3374H3925H4687H58214Therefore behold, I will once again deal marvelously with this people, wondrously marvelous; And the wisdom of their wise men shall perish, And the discernment of their discerning men shall be concealed. "H3254H6381H5971H6381H6382H2451H2450H6H998H995H564115Woe to those who deeply hide their plans from the LORD, And whose deeds are [done] in a dark place, And they say, "Who sees us?" or "Who knows us?"H1945H6009H5641H6098H3068H4639H4285H559H7200H304516You turn [things] around! Shall the potter be considered as equal with the clay, That what is made should say to its maker, "He did not make me"; Or what is formed say to him who formed it, "He has no understanding"?H2017H2803H3335H2563H4639H559H6213H6213H3336H559H3335H995

Blessing after Discipline

17Is it not yet just a little while Before Lebanon will be turned into a fertile field, And the fertile field will be considered as a forest?H4213H4592H3844H7725H3759H3759H2803H329318And on that day the deaf shall hear words of a book, And out of [their] gloom and darkness the eyes of the blind shall see.H3117H2795H8085H1697H5612H5869H5787H7200H652H282219The afflicted also shall increase their gladness in the LORD, And the needy of mankind shall rejoice in the Holy One of Israel.H6035H3254H8057H3068H34H120H1523H6918H347820For the ruthless will come to an end, and the scorner will be finished, Indeed all who are intent on doing evil will be cut off;H6184H656H3887H3615H8245H205H377221Who cause a person to be indicted by a word, And ensnare him who adjudicates at the gate, And defraud the one in the right with meaningless arguments.H120H2398H1697H6983H3198H8179H5186H6662H841422Therefore thus says the LORD, who redeemed Abraham, concerning the house of Jacob, "Jacob shall not now be ashamed, nor shall his face now turn pale;H559H3068H6299H85H1004H3290H3290H954H6440H235723But when he sees his children, the work of My hands, in his midst, They will sanctify My name; Indeed, they will sanctify the Holy One of Jacob, And will stand in awe of the God of Israel.H7200H3206H4639H3027H7130H6942H8034H6942H6918H3290H6206H430H347824"And those who err in mind will know the truth, And those who criticize will accept instruction.H8582H7307H3045H998H7279H3925H3948

Prayer Tents is a Christian mission organization that serves Christians around the world and their local bodies to make disciples ("evangelize") more effectively in their communities. Prayer Tents provides resources to enable Christians to form discipleship-focused small groups and make their gatherings known so that other "interested" people may participate and experience Christ in their midst. Our Vision is to make disciples in all nations through the local churches so that anyone seeking God can come to know Him through relationships with other Christians near them.
