Isaiah 20

A Prophecy Against Egypt and Cush

20In the year that the supreme commander, sent by Sargon king of Assyria, came to Ashdod and attacked and captured it—H8141H8661H935H795H5623H4428H804H7971H3898H795H39202at that time the LORD spoke through Isaiah son of Amoz. He said to him, "Take off the sackcloth from your body and the sandals from your feet." And he did so, going around stripped and barefoot.H6256H1696H3068H3027H3470H1121H531H559H3212H6605H8242H4975H2502H5275H7272H6213H1980H6174H31823Then the LORD said, "Just as my servant Isaiah has gone stripped and barefoot for three years, as a sign and portent against Egypt and Cush,H3068H559H5650H3470H1980H6174H3182H7969H8141H226H4159H4714H35684so the king of Assyria will lead away stripped and barefoot the Egyptian captives and Cushite exiles, young and old, with buttocks bared—to Egypt's shame.H4428H804H5090H4714H7628H3568H1546H5288H2205H6174H3182H8357H2834H6172H47145Those who trusted in Cush and boasted in Egypt will be afraid and put to shame.H2865H954H3568H4007H4714H85976In that day the people who live on this coast will say, 'See what has happened to those we relied on, those we fled to for help and deliverance from the king of Assyria! How then can we escape?'"H3427H339H559H3117H3541H4007H5127H5833H5337H6440H4428H804H4422

Prayer Tents is a Christian mission organization that serves Christians around the world and their local bodies to make disciples ("evangelize") more effectively in their communities. Prayer Tents provides resources to enable Christians to form discipleship-focused small groups and make their gatherings known so that other "interested" people may participate and experience Christ in their midst. Our Vision is to make disciples in all nations through the local churches so that anyone seeking God can come to know Him through relationships with other Christians near them.
