Isaiah 65
English Standard Version
65I was ready to be sought by those who did not ask for me; I was ready to be found by those who did not seek me. I said, "Here am I, here am I," to a nation that was not called by my name.H1875H7592H3808H4672H1245H3808H559H1471H7121H8034 2I spread out my hands all the day to a rebellious people, who walk in a way that is not good, following their own devices;H6566H3027H3117H5637H5971H1980H1870H2896H310H4284 3a people who provoke me to my face continually, sacrificing in gardens and making offerings on bricks;H5971H3707H8548H6440H2076H1593H6999H3843 4who sit in tombs, and spend the night in secret places; who eat pig's flesh, and broth of tainted meat is in their vessels;H3427H6913H3885H5341H398H2386H1320H4839H6564H6292H3627 5who say, "Keep to yourself, do not come near me, for I am too holy for you." These are a smoke in my nostrils, a fire that burns all the day.H559H7126H5066H6942H6227H639H784H3344H3117 6Behold, it is written before me: "I will not keep silent, but I will repay; I will indeed repay into their bosomH3789H6440H2814H7999H7999H2436 7both your iniquities and your fathers' iniquities together, says the LORD; because they made offerings on the mountains and insulted me on the hills, I will measure into their bosom payment for their former deeds."H5771H5771H1H3162H559H3068H6999H2022H2778H1389H4058H7223H6468H2436 8Thus says the LORD: "As the new wine is found in the cluster, and they say, 'Do not destroy it, for there is a blessing in it,' so I will do for my servants' sake, and not destroy them all.H559H3068H8492H4672H811H559H7843H1293H6213H5650H7843 9I will bring forth offspring from Jacob, and from Judah possessors of my mountains; my chosen shall possess it, and my servants shall dwell there.H3318H2233H3290H3063H3423H2022H972H3423H5650H7931 10Sharon shall become a pasture for flocks, and the Valley of Achor a place for herds to lie down, for my people who have sought me.H8289H5116H6629H6010H5911H1241H7258H5971H1875 11But you who forsake the LORD, who forget my holy mountain, who set a table for Fortune and fill cups of mixed wine for Destiny,H5800H3068H7913H6944H2022H6186H7979H1409H1408H4390H4469H4507 12I will destine you to the sword, and all of you shall bow down to the slaughter, because, when I called, you did not answer; when I spoke, you did not listen, but you did what was evil in my eyes and chose what I did not delight in."H4487H2719H3766H2874H7121H6030H1696H8085H6213H7451H5869H977H2654 13Therefore thus says the Lord GOD: "Behold, my servants shall eat, but you shall be hungry; behold, my servants shall drink, but you shall be thirsty; behold, my servants shall rejoice, but you shall be put to shame;H559H136H3069H5650H398H7456H5650H8354H6770H5650H8055H954 14behold, my servants shall sing for gladness of heart, but you shall cry out for pain of heart and shall wail for breaking of spirit.H5650H7442H2898H3820H6817H3511H3820H3213H7667H7307 15You shall leave your name to my chosen for a curse, and the Lord GOD will put you to death, but his servants he will call by another name.H3240H8034H7621H972H136H3069H4191H7121H5650H312H8034 16So that he who blesses himself in the land shall bless himself by the God of truth, and he who takes an oath in the land shall swear by the God of truth; because the former troubles are forgotten and are hidden from my eyes.H1288H776H1288H430H543H7650H776H7650H430H543H7223H6869H7911H5641H5869 17"For behold, I create new heavens and a new earth, and the former things shall not be remembered or come into mind.H1254H2319H8064H2319H776H7223H2142H5927H3820 18But be glad and rejoice forever in that which I create; for behold, I create Jerusalem to be a joy, and her people to be a gladness.H7797H1523H5703H1254H1254H3389H1525H5971H4885 19I will rejoice in Jerusalem and be glad in my people; no more shall be heard in it the sound of weeping and the cry of distress.H1523H3389H7797H5971H6963H1065H8085H6963H2201 20No more shall there be in it an infant who lives but a few days, or an old man who does not fill out his days, for the young man shall die a hundred years old, and the sinner a hundred years old shall be accursed.H5764H3117H2205H4390H3117H5288H4191H3967H8141H1121H2398H3967H8141H1121H7043 21They shall build houses and inhabit them; they shall plant vineyards and eat their fruit.H1129H1004H3427H5193H3754H398H6529 22They shall not build and another inhabit; they shall not plant and another eat; for like the days of a tree shall the days of my people be, and my chosen shall long enjoy the work of their hands.H1129H312H3427H5193H312H398H3117H6086H3117H5971H972H1086H4639H3027 23They shall not labor in vain or bear children for calamity, for they shall be the offspring of the blessed of the LORD, and their descendants with them.H3021H7385H3205H928H2233H1288H3068H6631 24Before they call I will answer; while they are yet speaking I will hear.H7121H6030H1696H8085 25The wolf and the lamb shall graze together; the lion shall eat straw like the ox, and dust shall be the serpent's food.
