Job 2

Job’s Second Test

2One day the members of the heavenly courtc came again to present themselves before the LORD, and the Accuser, Satan, came with them.H3117H1121H430H935H3320H3068H7854H935H8432H3320H30682"Where have you come from?" the LORD asked Satan. Satan answered the LORD, "I have been patrolling the earth, watching everything that's going on."H3068H559H7854H335H935H7854H6030H3068H559H7751H776H19803Then the LORD asked Satan, "Have you noticed my servant Job? He is the finest man in all the earth. He is blameless—a man of complete integrity. He fears God and stays away from evil. And he has maintained his integrity, even though you urged me to harm him without cause."H3068H559H7854H7760H3820H5650H347H776H8535H3477H376H3373H430H5493H7451H2388H8538H5496H1104H26004Satan replied to the LORD, "Skin for skin! A man will give up everything he has to save his life.H7854H6030H3068H559H5785H5785H376H5414H53155But reach out and take away his health, and he will surely curse you to your face!"H199H7971H3027H5060H6106H1320H1288H64406"All right, do with him as you please," the LORD said to Satan. "But spare his life."H3068H559H7854H3027H8104H53157So Satan left the LORD's presence, and he struck Job with terrible boils from head to foot.H3318H7854H3318H6440H3068H5221H347H7451H7822H3709H7272H69368Job scraped his skin with a piece of broken pottery as he sat among the ashes.H3947H2789H1623H3427H8432H6659His wife said to him, "Are you still trying to maintain your integrity? Curse God and die."H559H802H2388H8538H1288H430H419110But Job replied, "You talk like a foolish woman. Should we accept only good things from the hand of God and never anything bad?" So in all this, Job said nothing wrong.H559H1696H259H5036H1696H1571H6901H2896H430H6901H7451H347H2398H8193

Job’s Three Friends Share His Anguish

11When three of Job's friends heard of the tragedy he had suffered, they got together and traveled from their homes to comfort and console him. Their names were Eliphaz the Temanite, Bildad the Shuhite, and Zophar the Naamathite.H347H7969H7453H8085H7451H935H935H376H4725H464H8489H1085H7747H6691H5284H3259H3162H935H5110H516212When they saw Job from a distance, they scarcely recognized him. Wailing loudly, they tore their robes and threw dust into the air over their heads to show their grief.H5375H5869H7350H5234H5375H6963H1058H7167H376H4598H2236H6083H7218H806413Then they sat on the ground with him for seven days and nights. No one said a word to Job, for they saw that his suffering was too great for words.H3427H776H7651H3117H7651H3915H1696H1697H7200H3511H3966H1431

Job 3

Job’s First Speech

3At last Job spoke, and he cursed the day of his birth.H310H6605H347H6310H7043H31172He said.H347H6030H5593"Let the day of my birth be erased, and the night I was conceived.H3117H6H3205H3915H559H1397H20294Let that day be turned to darkness. Let it be lost even to God on high, and let no light shine on it.H3117H2822H433H1875H4605H5105H33135Let the darkness and utter gloom claim that day for its own. Let a black cloud overshadow it, and let the darkness terrify it.H2822H6757H1350H6053H7931H3650H3117H12046Let that night be blotted off the calendar, never again to be counted among the days of the year, never again to appear among the months.H3915H652H3947H2302H3117H8141H935H4557H33917Let that night be childless. Let it have no joy.H3915H1565H7445H9358Let those who are experts at cursing—whose cursing could rouse Leviathanc—curse that day.H5344H779H3117H6264H5782H38829Let its morning stars remain dark. Let it hope for light, but in vain; may it never see the morning light.H3556H5399H2821H6960H216H7200H6079H783710Curse that day for failing to shut my mother's womb, for letting me be born to see all this trouble.H5462H1817H990H5641H5999H586911"Why wasn't I born dead? Why didn't I die as I came from the womb?H4191H7358H1478H3318H99012Why was I laid on my mother's lap? Why did she nurse me at her breasts?H1290H6923H7699H324313Had I died at birth, I would now be at peace. I would be asleep and at rest.H7901H8252H3462H511714I would rest with the world's kings and prime ministers, whose great buildings now lie in ruins.H4428H3289H776H1129H272315I would rest with princes, rich in gold, whose palaces were filled with silver.H8269H2091H4390H1004H370116Why wasn't I buried like a stillborn child, like a baby who never lives to see the light?H2934H5309H5768H7200H21617For in death the wicked cause no trouble, and the weary are at rest.H7563H2308H7267H3019H3581H511718Even captives are at ease in death, with no guards to curse them.H615H7599H3162H8085H6963H506519Rich and poor are both there, and the slave is free from his master.H6996H1419H5650H2670H11320"Oh, why give light to those in misery, and life to those who are bitter?H216H5414H6001H2416H4751H531521They long for death, and it won't come. They search for death more eagerly than for hidden treasure.H2442H4194H2658H430122They're filled with joy when they finally die, and rejoice when they find the grave.H8056H1524H7797H4672H691323Why is life given to those with no future, those God has surrounded with difficulties?H1397H1870H5641H433H552624I cannot eat for sighing; my groans pour out like water.H585H935H6440H3899H7581H5413H432525What I always feared has happened to me. What I dreaded has come true.H6343H6342H857H3025H93526I have no peace, no quietness. I have no rest; only trouble comes."H7951H8252H5117H7267H935

Job 4

Eliphaz’s First Response to Job

4Then Eliphaz the Temanite replied to Job.H464H8489H6030H5592"Will you be patient and let me say a word? For who could keep from speaking out?H5254H1697H3811H3201H6113H44053"In the past you have encouraged many people; you have strengthened those who were weak.H3256H7227H2388H7504H30274Your words have supported those who were falling; you encouraged those with shaky knees.H4405H6965H3782H553H3766H12905But now when trouble strikes, you lose heart. You are terrified when it touches you.H935H3811H5060H9266Doesn't your reverence for God give you confidence? Doesn't your life of integrity give you hope?H3374H3690H8615H8537H18707"Stop and think! Do the innocent die? When have the upright been destroyed?H2142H6H5355H375H3477H35828My experience shows that those who plant trouble and cultivate evil will harvest the same.H7200H2790H205H2232H5999H71149A breath from God destroys them. They vanish in a blast of his anger.H5397H433H6H7307H639H361510The lion roars and the wildcat snarls, but the teeth of strong lions will be broken.H7581H738H6963H7826H8127H3715H542111The fierce lion will starve for lack of prey, and the cubs of the lioness will be scattered.H3918H6H1097H2964H3833H1121H650412"This truth was given to me in secret, as though whispered in my ear.H1697H1589H241H3947H810213It came to me in a disturbing vision at night, when people are in a deep sleep.H5587H2384H3915H8639H5307H58214Fear gripped me, and my bones trembled.H6343H7122H7461H7230H6106H634215A spiritc swept past my face, and my hair stood on end.H7307H2498H6440H8185H1320H556816The spirit stopped, but I couldn't see its shape. There was a form before my eyes. In the silence I heard a voice say,H5975H5234H4758H8544H5869H1827H8085H696317'Can a mortal be innocent before God? Can anyone be pure before the Creator?'H582H6663H433H1397H2891H621318"If God does not trust his own angels and has charged his messengers with foolishness,H539H5650H4397H7760H841719how much less will he trust people made of clay! They are made of dust, crushed as easily as a moth.H637H7931H1004H2563H3247H6083H1792H6440H621120They are alive in the morning but dead by evening, gone forever without a trace.H3807H1242H6153H6H5331H776021Their tent-cords are pulled and the tent collapses, and they die in ignorance.H3499H5265H4191H2451

Job 5

Eliphaz’s Response Continues

5"Cry for help, but will anyone answer you? Which of the angelsc will help you?H7121H3426H6030H6918H64372Surely resentment destroys the fool, and jealousy kills the simple.H3708H2026H191H7068H4191H66013I have seen that fools may be successful for the moment, but then comes sudden disaster.H7200H191H8327H6597H5344H51164Their children are abandoned far from help; they are crushed in court with no one to defend them.H1121H7368H3468H1792H8179H53375The hungry devour their harvest, even when it is guarded by bramblesc. The thirsty pant after their wealth.H7105H7457H398H3947H413H6791H6782H7602H24286But evil does not spring from the soil, and trouble does not sprout from the earth.H205H3318H6083H5999H6779H1277People are born for trouble as readily as sparks fly up from a fire.H120H3205H5999H1121H7565H5774H13618"If I were you, I would go to God and present my case to him.H199H1875H410H430H7760H17009He does great things too marvelous to understand. He performs countless miracles.H6213H1419H369H2714H6381H455710He gives rain for the earth and water for the fields.H5414H4306H6440H776H7971H4325H6440H235111He gives prosperity to the poor and protects those who suffer.H7760H4791H8217H6937H7682H346812He frustrates the plans of schemers so the work of their hands will not succeed.H6565H4284H6175H3027H6213H845413He traps the wise in their own cleverness so their cunning schemes are thwarted.H3920H2450H6193H6098H6617H411614They find it is dark in the daytime, and they grope at noon as if it were night.H6298H2822H3119H4959H6672H391515He rescues the poor from the cutting words of the strong, and rescues them from the clutches of the powerful.H3467H34H2719H6310H3027H238916And so at last the poor have hope, and the snapping jaws of the wicked are shut.H1800H8615H5766H7092H631017"But consider the joy of those corrected by God! Do not despise the discipline of the Almighty when you sin.H835H582H433H3198H3988H4148H770618For though he wounds, he also bandages. He strikes, but his hands also heal.H3510H2280H4272H3027H749519From six disasters he will rescue you; even in the seventh, he will keep you from evil.H5337H8337H6869H7651H7451H506020He will save you from death in time of famine, from the power of the sword in time of war.H7458H6299H4194H4421H3027H271921You will be safe from slander and have no fear when destruction comes.H2244H7752H3956H3372H7701H93522You will laugh at destruction and famine; wild animals will not terrify you.H7701H3720H7832H3372H2416H77623You will be at peace with the stones of the field, and its wild animals will be at peace with you.H1285H68H7704H2416H7704H799924You will know that your home is safe. When you survey your possessions, nothing will be missing.H3045H168H7965H6485H5116H239825You will have many children; your descendants will be as plentiful as grass!H3045H2233H7227H6631H6212H77626You will go to the grave at a ripe old age, like a sheaf of grain harvested at the proper time!H935H6913H3624H1430H5927H625627"We have studied life and found all this to be true. Listen to my counsel, and apply it to yourself."H2713H8085H3045

Job 6

Job’s Second Speech: A Response to Eliphaz

6Then Job spoke again.H347H6030H5592"If my misery could be weighed and my troubles be put on the scales,H3863H3708H8254H8254H1942H1962H5375H3976H31623they would outweigh all the sands of the sea. That is why I spoke impulsively.H3513H2344H3220H1697H38864For the Almighty has struck me down with his arrows. Their poison infects my spirit. God's terrors are lined up against me.H2671H7706H5978H2534H8354H7307H1161H433H61865Don't I have a right to complain? Don't wild donkeys bray when they find no grass, and oxen bellow when they have no food?H6501H5101H1877H1600H7794H10986Don't people complain about unsalted food? Does anyone want the tasteless white of an egg?cH8602H398H4417H3426H2940H7388H24957My appetite disappears when I look at it; I gag at the thought of eating it!H5315H3985H5060H1741H38998"Oh, that I might have my request, that God would grant my desire.H935H7596H433H5414H86159I wish he would crush me. I wish he would reach out his hand and kill me.H2974H433H1792H5425H3027H121410At least I can take comfort in this: Despite the pain, I have not denied the words of the Holy One.H5165H5539H2427H2550H3582H561H691811But I don't have the strength to endure. I have nothing to live for.H3581H3176H7093H748H531512Do I have the strength of a stone? Is my body made of bronze?H3581H3581H68H1320H515313No, I am utterly helpless, without any chance of success.H5833H8454H508014"One should be kind to a fainting friend, but you accuse me without any fear of the Almightyc.H4523H2617H7453H5800H3374H770615My brothers, you have proved as unreliable as a seasonal brook that overflows its banks in the springH251H898H5158H650H5158H567416when it is swollen with ice and melting snow.H6937H7140H7950H595617But when the hot weather arrives, the water disappears. The brook vanishes in the heat.H6256H2215H6789H2527H1846H472518The caravans turn aside to be refreshed, but there is nothing to drink, so they die.H734H1870H3943H5927H8414H619The caravans from Tema search for this water; the travelers from Sheba hope to find it.H734H8485H5027H1979H7614H696020They count on it but are disappointed. When they arrive, their hopes are dashed.H954H982H935H265921You, too, have given no help. You have seen my calamity, and you are afraid.H7200H2866H337222But why? Have I ever asked you for a gift? Have I begged for anything of yours for myself?H559H3051H7809H358123Have I asked you to rescue me from my enemies, or to save me from ruthless people?H4422H6862H3027H6299H3027H618424Teach me, and I will keep quiet. Show me what I have done wrong.H3384H2790H995H768625Honest words can be painful, but what do your criticisms amount to?H4834H3476H561H3198H319826Do you think your words are convincing when you disregard my cry of desperation?H2803H3198H4405H561H2976H730727You would even send an orphan into slaveryc or sell a friend.H5307H3490H3738H745328Look at me! Would I lie to your face?H2974H6437H6440H357629Stop assuming my guilt, for I have done no wrong.H7725H5766H7725H666430Do you think I am lying? Don't I know the difference between right and wrong?H3426H5766H3956H2441H995H1942

Job 7

7"Is not all human life a struggle? Our lives are like that of a hired hand,H6635H582H776H3117H3117H79162like a worker who longs for the shade, like a servant waiting to be paid.H5650H7602H6738H7916H6960H64673I, too, have been assigned months of futility, long and weary nights of misery.H5157H3391H7723H5999H3915H44874Lying in bed, I think, 'When will it be morning?' But the night drags on, and I toss till dawn.H7901H559H6965H6153H4059H7646H5076H53995My body is covered with maggots and scabs. My skin breaks open, oozing with pus.H1320H3847H7415H1487H6083H5785H7280H3988

Job Cries Out to God

6"My days fly faster than a weaver's shuttle. They end without hope.H3117H7043H708H3615H657H86157O God, remember that my life is but a breath, and I will never again feel happiness.H2142H2416H7307H5869H7725H7200H28968You see me now, but not for long. You will look for me, but I will be gone.H5869H7210H7789H58699Just as a cloud dissipates and vanishes, those who diec will not come back.H6051H3615H3212H3381H7585H592710They are gone forever from their home—never to be seen again.H7725H1004H4725H523411"I cannot keep from speaking. I must express my anguish. My bitter soul must complain.H2820H6310H1696H6862H7307H7878H4751H531512Am I a sea monster or a dragon that you must place me under guard?H3220H8577H7760H492913I think, 'My bed will comfort me, and sleep will ease my misery,'H559H6210H5162H4904H5375H787914but then you shatter me with dreams and terrify me with visions.H2865H2472H1204H238415I would rather be strangled—rather die than suffer like this.H5315H977H4267H4194H610616I hate my life and don't want to go on living. Oh, leave me alone for my few remaining days.H3988H2421H5769H2308H3117H189217"What are people, that you should make so much of us, that you should think of us so often?H582H1431H7896H382018For you examine us every morning and test us every moment.H6485H1242H974H728119Why won't you leave me alone, at least long enough for me to swallow!H4100H8159H7503H1104H753620If I have sinned, what have I done to you, O watcher of all humanity? Why make me your target? Am I a burden to you?H2398H6466H5341H120H7760H4645H485321Why not just forgive my sin and take away my guilt? For soon I will lie down in the dust and die. When you look for me, I will be gone."H5375H6588H5674H5771H7901H6083H7836

Job 8

Bildad’s First Response to Job

8Then Bildad the Shuhite replied to Job.H6030H1085H7747H5592"How long will you go on like this? You sound like a blustering wind.H575H5704H4448H561H6310H3524H73073Does God twist justice? Does the Almighty twist what is right?H410H5791H4941H7706H5791H66644Your children must have sinned against him, so their punishment was well deserved.H1121H2398H7971H3027H65885But if you pray to God and seek the favor of the Almighty,H7836H410H7836H2603H77066and if you are pure and live with integrity, he will surely rise up and restore your happy home.H2134H3477H5782H5116H6664H79997And though you started with little, you will end with much.H7225H4705H319H3966H76858"Just ask the previous generation. Pay attention to the experience of our ancestors.H7592H7223H7223H1755H3559H2714H19For we were born but yesterday and know nothing. Our days on earth are as fleeting as a shadow.H8543H3045H3117H776H673810But those who came before us will teach you. They will teach you the wisdom of old.H3384H559H3318H4405H382011"Can papyrus reeds grow tall without a marsh? Can marsh grass flourish without water?H1573H1342H1207H7685H260H7685H1097H432512While they are still flowering, not ready to be cut, they begin to wither more quickly than grass.H3H6998H3001H6440H268213The same happens to all who forget God. The hopes of the godless evaporate.H734H7911H410H2611H8615H614Their confidence hangs by a thread. They are leaning on a spider's web.H3689H6990H4009H5908H100415They cling to their home for security, but it won't last. They try to hold it tight, but it will not endure.H8172H1004H5975H2388H696516The godless seem like a lush plant growing in the sunshine, its branches spreading across the garden.H7373H6440H8121H3127H3318H159317Its roots grow down through a pile of stones; it takes hold on a bed of rocks.H8328H5440H1530H2372H1004H6818But when it is uprooted, it's as though it never existed!H1104H4725H3584H720019That's the end of its life, and others spring up from the earth to replace it.H4885H1870H6083H312H677920"But look, God will not reject a person of integrity, nor will he lend a hand to the wicked.H410H3988H8535H2388H3027H748921He will once again fill your mouth with laughter and your lips with shouts of joy.H4390H6310H7814H8193H864322Those who hate you will be clothed with shame, and the home of the wicked will be destroyed."H8130H3847H1322H168H7563H369

Job 9

Job’s Third Speech: A Response to Bildad

9Then Job spoke again.H347H6030H5592"Yes, I know all this is true in principle. But how can a person be declared innocent in God's sight?H3045H551H582H6663H4103If someone wanted to take God to courtc, would it be possible to answer him even once in a thousand times?H2654H7378H6030H259H5054For God is so wise and so mighty. Who has ever challenged him successfully?H2450H3824H533H3581H7185H79995"Without warning, he moves the mountains, overturning them in his anger.H6275H2022H3045H2015H6396He shakes the earth from its place, and its foundations tremble.H7264H776H4725H5982H64267If he commands it, the sun won't rise and the stars won't shine.H559H2775H2224H2856H35568He alone has spread out the heavens and marches on the waves of the sea.H5186H8064H1869H1116H32209He made all the stars—the Bear and Orion, the Pleiades and the constellations of the southern sky.H6213H5906H3685H3598H2315H848610He does great things too marvelous to understand. He performs countless miracles.H6213H1419H369H2714H6381H455711"Yet when he comes near, I cannot see him. When he moves by, I do not see him go.H5674H7200H2498H99512If he snatches someone in death, who can stop him? Who dares to ask, 'What are you doing?'H2862H7725H559H621313And God does not restrain his anger. Even the monsters of the seac are crushed beneath his feet.H433H7725H639H7293H5826H781714"So who am I, that I should try to answer God or even reason with him?H6030H977H169715Even if I were right, I would have no defense. I could only plead for mercy.H6663H6030H2603H819916And even if I summoned him and he responded, I'm not sure he would listen to me.H7121H6030H539H238H696317For he attacks me with a storm and repeatedly wounds me without cause.H7779H8183H7235H6482H260018He will not let me catch my breath, but fills me instead with bitter sorrows.H5414H7725H7307H7646H447219If it's a question of strength, he's the strong one. If it's a matter of justice, who dares to summon him to court?H3581H533H4941H325920Though I am innocent, my own mouth would pronounce me guilty. Though I am blameless, itc would prove me wicked.H6663H6310H7561H8535H614021"I am innocent, but it makes no difference to me—I despise my life.H8535H3045H5315H3988H241622Innocent or wicked, it is all the same to God. That's why I say, 'He destroys both the blameless and the wicked.'H259H559H3615H8535H756323When a plaguec sweeps through, he laughs at the death of the innocent.H7752H4191H6597H3932H4531H535524The whole earth is in the hands of the wicked, and God blinds the eyes of the judges. If he's not the one who does it, who is?H776H5414H3027H7563H3680H6440H8199H64525"My life passes more swiftly than a runner. It flees away without a glimpse of happiness.H3117H7043H7323H1272H7200H289626It disappears like a swift papyrus boat, like an eagle swooping down on its prey.H2498H5973H16H591H5404H2907H40027If I decided to forget my complaints, to put away my sad face and be cheerful,H559H7911H7879H5800H6440H108228I would still dread all the pain, for I know you will not find me innocent, O God.H3025H6094H3045H535229Whatever happens, I will be found guilty. So what's the use of trying?H7561H3021H189230Even if I were to wash myself with soap and clean my hands with lye,H7364H7950H4325H1119H3709H1252H1253H214131you would plunge me into a muddy ditch, and my own filthy clothing would hate me.H227H2881H7845H8008H858132"God is not a mortal like me, so I cannot argue with him or take him to trial.H376H6030H935H3162H494133If only there were a mediator between us, someone who could bring us together.H3426H3198H7896H3027H814734The mediator could make God stop beating me, and I would no longer live in terror of his punishment.H5493H7626H5493H367H120435Then I could speak to him without fear, but I cannot do that in my own strength.H1696H3372

Job 10

Job Frames His Plea to God

10"I am disgusted with my life. Let me complain freely. My bitter soul must complain.H5315H5354H2416H5800H7879H1696H4751H53152I will say to God, 'Don't simply condemn me—tell me the charge you are bringing against me.H559H433H7561H3045H73783What do you gain by oppressing me? Why do you reject me, the work of your own hands, while smiling on the schemes of the wicked?H2895H6231H3988H3018H3709H3313H6098H75634Are your eyes like those of a human? Do you see things only as people see them?H5869H1320H7200H582H72005Is your lifetime only as long as ours? Is your life so shortH3117H3117H582H8141H1397H31176that you must quickly probe for my guilt and search for my sin?H1245H5771H1875H24037Although you know I am not guilty, no one can rescue me from your hands.H1847H7561H5337H30278"'You formed me with your hands; you made me, yet now you completely destroy me.H3027H6087H6213H3162H5439H11049Remember that you made me from dust—will you turn me back to dust so soon?H2142H6213H2563H7725H6083H772510You guided my conception and formed me in the wombc.H5413H2461H7087H138511You clothed me with skin and flesh, and you knit my bones and sinews together.H3847H5785H1320H7753H6106H151712You gave me life and showed me your unfailing love. My life was preserved by your care.H6213H2416H2617H6486H8104H730713'Yet your real motive—your true intent—H6845H3824H304514was to watch me, and if I sinned, you would not forgive my guilt.H2398H8104H5352H577115If I am guilty, too bad for me; and even if I'm innocent, I can't hold my head high, because I am filled with shame and misery.H7561H480H6663H5375H7218H7649H7036H7202H7200H604016And if I hold my head high, you hunt me like a lion and display your awesome power against me.H1342H6679H7826H7725H638117Again and again you witness against me. You pour out your growing anger on me and bring fresh armies against me.H2318H5707H7235H3708H5978H2487H663518"'Why, then, did you deliver me from my mother's womb? Why didn't you let me die at birth?H3318H7358H1478H5869H720019It would be as though I had never existed, going directly from the womb to the grave.H2986H990H691320I have only a few days left, so leave me alone, that I may have a moment of comfortH3117H4592H2308H2308H7896H7896H1082H459221before I leave—never to return—for the land of darkness and utter gloom.H3212H7725H776H2822H675722It is a land as dark as midnight, a land of gloom and confusion, where even the light is dark as midnight.'"H776H5890H652H6757H5468H3313H652

Job 11

Zophar’s First Response to Job

11Then Zophar the Naamathite replied to Job.H6030H6691H5284H5592"Shouldn't someone answer this torrent of words? Is a person proved innocent just by a lot of talking?H7230H1697H6030H376H8193H66633Should I remain silent while you babble on? When you mock God, shouldn't someone make you ashamed?H907H2790H4962H2790H3932H36374You claim, 'My beliefs are pure,' and 'I am clean in the sight of God.'H559H3948H2134H1249H58695If only God would speak; if only he would tell you what he thinks!H199H5414H433H1696H6605H81936If only he would tell you the secrets of wisdom, for true wisdom is not a simple matter. Listen! God is doubtless punishing you far less than you deserve!H5046H8587H2451H3718H8454H3045H433H5382H57717"Can you solve the mysteries of God? Can you discover everything about the Almighty?H2714H4672H433H4672H7706H85038Such knowledge is higher than the heavens—and who are you? It is deeper than the underworldc—what do you know?H1363H8064H6466H6013H7585H30459It is broader than the earth and wider than the sea.H4055H752H776H7342H322010If God comes and puts a person in prison or calls the court to order, who can stop him?H2498H5462H6950H772511For he knows those who are false, and he takes note of all their sins.H3045H7723H4962H7200H205H99512An empty-headed person won't become wise any more than a wild donkey can bear a human childc.H5014H376H3823H120H3205H6501H589513"If only you would prepare your heart and lift up your hands to him in prayer!H3559H3820H6566H370914Get rid of your sins, and leave all iniquity behind you.H205H3027H7368H5766H7931H16815Then your face will brighten with innocence. You will be strong and free of fear.H5375H6440H3971H3332H337216You will forget your misery; it will be like water flowing away.H7911H5999H2142H4325H567417Your life will be brighter than the noonday. Even darkness will be as bright as morning.H2465H6965H6672H5774H124218Having hope will give you courage. You will be protected and will rest in safety.H982H3426H8615H2658H7901H98319You will lie down unafraid, and many will look to you for help.H7257H2729H7227H2470H644020But the wicked will be blinded. They will have no escape. Their only hope is death."H5869H7563H3615H6H4498H8615H4646H5315

Prayer Tents is a Christian mission organization that serves Christians around the world and their local bodies to make disciples ("evangelize") more effectively in their communities. Prayer Tents provides resources to enable Christians to form discipleship-focused small groups and make their gatherings known so that other "interested" people may participate and experience Christ in their midst. Our Vision is to make disciples in all nations through the local churches so that anyone seeking God can come to know Him through relationships with other Christians near them.
