John 21

21Later on, Jesus revealed himself again to the disciples at the Sea of Tiberias. This is what happened:G3326G5023G2424G5319G1438G3825G3101G1909G2281G5085G1161G3779G53192Simon Peter, Thomas (called the Twin), Nathaniel from Cana in Galilee, the sons of Zebedee, and two of his other disciples were together.G2258G3674G4613G4074G2532G2381G3004G1324G2532G3482G575G2580G1056G2532G3588G2199G2532G1417G243G1537G846G31013Simon Peter said to them, "I'm going fishing." They all told him, "We'll go with you, too." So they went out and got into the boat but didn't catch a thing that night.G4613G4074G3004G846G5217G232G3004G846G2249G2532G2064G4862G4671G1831G2532G305G1519G4143G2117G2532G1722G1565G3571G4084G37624Just as dawn was breaking, Jesus stood on the shore. The disciples didn't realize it was Jesus.G1161G4405G1096G2235G1096G2424G2476G1519G123G3305G3101G1492G3756G3754G2076G24245Jesus asked them, "Children, you don't have any fish, do you?" They answered him, "No."G3767G2424G3004G846G3813G2192G3387G4371G611G846G37566He told them, "Throw the net on the right hand side of the boat, and you'll catch some." So they threw it out and were unable to haul it in because it was so full of fish.G1161G2036G846G906G1350G1519G1188G3313G4143G2532G2147G906G3767G2532G3765G2480G3765G2480G1670G846G575G4128G24867That disciple whom Jesus kept loving said to Peter, "It's the Lord!" When Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he put his clothes back on, because he was practically naked, and jumped into the sea.G3767G1565G3101G3739G2424G25G3004G4074G2076G2962G3767G4613G4074G191G3754G2076G2962G1241G1903G1063G2258G1131G2532G906G1438G1519G22818But the other disciples came in the boat, dragging the net full of fish. They were only about a hundred yards away from the shore.G1161G243G3101G2064G4142G1063G2258G3756G3112G575G1093G235G5613G575G1250G4083G4951G1350G24869When they arrived at the shore, they saw a charcoal fire with fish lying on it, and some bread.G5613G3767G576G1519G1093G991G439G2532G3795G2749G1945G2532G74010Jesus told them, "Bring me some of the fish you've just caught."G2424G3004G846G5342G575G3795G3739G4084G3568G408411So Simon Peter went aboard and dragged the net ashore. It was full of large fish? 153 of them. And although there were so many of them, the net was not torn.G4613G4074G305G2532G1670G1350G1909G1093G3324G3173G2486G1540G4004G5140G2532G5118G5607G3756G1350G497712Then Jesus said to them, "Come, have breakfast." Now none of the disciples dared to ask him, "Who are you?", because they knew it was the Lord.G2424G3004G846G1205G709G1161G3762G3101G5111G1833G846G5101G1488G4771G1492G3754G2076G296213Jesus took the bread, gave it to them, and did the same with the fish.G2424G3767G2064G2532G2983G740G2532G1325G846G2532G3795G366814This was now the third time that Jesus revealed himself to the disciples after he had been raised from the dead.G5124G5319G2235G5154G2424G5319G846G3101G1453G1537G349815When they had finished breakfast, Jesus asked Simon Peter, "Simon, son of John, do you love me more than these?" Peter said to him, "Yes, Lord, you know that I love you." Jesus told him, "Feed my lambs."G3767G3753G709G2424G3004G4613G4074G4613G2495G25G3165G4119G5130G3004G846G3483G2962G4771G1492G3754G5368G4571G3004G846G1006G3450G72116Then he asked him a second time, "Simon, son of John, do you love me?" Peter said to him, "Yes, Lord, you know that I love you." Jesus told him, "Take care of my sheep."G3004G846G3825G1208G4613G2495G25G3165G3004G846G3483G2962G4771G1492G3754G5368G4571G3004G846G4165G3450G426317He asked him a third time, "Simon, son of John, do you love me?" Peter was deeply hurt that he had asked him a third time, "Do you love me?" So he said to him, "Lord, you know everything. You know that I love you!" Jesus told him, "Feed my sheep.G3004G846G5154G4613G2495G5368G3165G4074G3076G3754G2036G846G5154G5368G3165G2532G2036G846G2962G4771G1492G3956G4771G1097G3754G5368G4571G2424G3004G846G1006G3450G426318"Truly, I tell you with certainty, when you were young, you would fasten your belt and go wherever you liked. But when you get old, you will stretch out your hands, and someone else will fasten your belt and take you where you don't want to go."G281G281G3004G4671G3753G2258G3501G2224G4572G2532G4043G3699G2309G1161G3752G1095G1614G4675G5495G2532G243G2224G4571G2532G5342G3699G2309G375619Now he said this to show by what kind of death he would glorify God. After saying this, Jesus told him, "Keep following me."G1161G5124G2036G4591G4169G2288G1392G2316G2532G2036G5124G3004G846G190G342720Peter turned around and noticed the disciple whom Jesus kept loving following them. He was the one who had put his head on Jesus' chest at the supper and had asked, "Lord, who is the one who is going to betray you?"G1161G4074G1994G991G3101G3739G2424G25G190G3739G2532G377G1909G846G4738G1722G1173G2532G2036G2962G5101G2076G3860G457121When Peter saw him, he said, "Lord, what about him?"G4074G1492G5126G3004G2424G2962G1161G5101G377822Jesus said to him, "If it is my will for him to remain until I come back, how does that concern you? You must keep following me!"G2424G3004G846G1437G2309G846G3306G2193G2064G5101G4314G4571G190G4771G342723So the rumor spread among the brothers that this disciple wasn't going to die. Yet Jesus didn't say to Peter that he wasn't going to die, but, "If it is my will for him to remain until I come back, how does that concern you?"G3767G1831G3778G3056G1831G1519G80G3754G1565G3101G599G3756G599G2532G2424G2036G3756G846G3754G599G3756G599G235G1437G2309G846G3306G2193G2064G5101G4314G457124This is the disciple who is testifying to these things and has written them down. We know that his testimony is true.G3778G2076G3101G3588G3140G4012G5130G2532G1125G5023G2532G1492G3754G846G3141G2076G22725Of course, Jesus also did many other things, and I suppose that if every one of them were written down the world couldn't contain the books that would be written.G1161G2076G2532G4183G243G3745G2424G4160G3748G1437G1125G2596G1520G3633G3761G2889G846G3761G5562G975G1125G281

Prayer Tents is a Christian mission organization that serves Christians around the world and their local bodies to make disciples ("evangelize") more effectively in their communities. Prayer Tents provides resources to enable Christians to form discipleship-focused small groups and make their gatherings known so that other "interested" people may participate and experience Christ in their midst. Our Vision is to make disciples in all nations through the local churches so that anyone seeking God can come to know Him through relationships with other Christians near them.
