Unconquered Lands

13Joshua was now old, advanced in years, and the LORD said to him, "You have become old, advanced in years, but a great deal of the land remains to be possessed.H3091H2204H935H3117H3068H559H2204H935H3117H7604H3966H7235H776H34232This is the land that remains: All the districts of the Philistines and the Geshurites:H776H7604H1552H6430H16513from the Shihor east of Egypt to the border of Ekron on the north (considered to be Canaanite territory)— the five Philistine rulers of Gaza, Ashdod, Ashkelon, Gath, and Ekron, as well as the AvvitesH7883H6440H4714H1366H6138H6828H2803H3669H2568H5633H6430H5841H796H832H1663H6139H57614in the south; all the land of the Canaanites: from Arah of the Sidonians to Aphek and as far as the border of the Amorites;H8486H776H3669H4632H6722H663H1366H5675the land of the Gebalites; and all Lebanon east from Baal-gad below Mount Hermon to the entrance of Hamath—H776H1382H3844H4217H8121H1171H2022H2768H935H25746all the inhabitants of the hill country from Lebanon to Misrephoth-maim, all the Sidonians. I will drive them out before the Israelites, only distribute the land as an inheritance for Israel, as I have commanded you.H3427H2022H3844H4956H6722H3423H6440H1121H3478H5307H3478H5159H66807Therefore, divide this land as an inheritance to the nine tribes and half the tribe of Manasseh."H2505H776H5159H8672H7626H2677H7626H4519

The Inheritance East of the Jordan

8With the other half of the tribe, the Reubenites and Gadites had received the inheritance Moses gave them beyond the Jordan to the east, just as Moses the LORD's servant had given them:H7206H1425H3947H5159H4872H5414H5676H3383H4217H4872H5650H3068H54149From Aroer on the rim of the Arnon Valley, along with the city in the middle of the valley, all the Medeba plateau as far as Dibon,H6177H8193H5158H769H5892H8432H5158H4334H4311H176910and all the cities of Sihon king of the Amorites, who reigned in Heshbon, to the border of the Ammonites;H5892H5511H4428H567H4427H2809H1366H1121H598311also Gilead and the territory of the Geshurites and Maacathites, all Mount Hermon, and all Bashan to Salecah—H1568H1366H1651H4602H2022H2768H1316H554812the whole kingdom of Og in Bashan, who reigned in Ashtaroth and Edrei; he was one of the remaining Rephaim. Moses struck them down and drove them out,H4468H5747H1316H4427H6252H154H7604H3499H7497H4872H5221H342313but the Israelites did not drive out the Geshurites and Maacathites. So Geshur and Maacath live in Israel to this day.H1121H3478H3423H1651H4602H1650H4601H3427H7130H3478H311714He did not give any inheritance to the tribe of Levi. This was its inheritance, just as He had promised: the offerings made by fire to the LORD, the God of Israel.H7626H3878H5414H5159H801H3068H430H3478H801H5159H1696

Prayer Tents is a Christian mission organization that serves Christians around the world and their local bodies to make disciples ("evangelize") more effectively in their communities. Prayer Tents provides resources to enable Christians to form discipleship-focused small groups and make their gatherings known so that other "interested" people may participate and experience Christ in their midst. Our Vision is to make disciples in all nations through the local churches so that anyone seeking God can come to know Him through relationships with other Christians near them.
