1The LORD called to Moses from the Tabernacle and said to him,H3068H7121H4872H1696H168H4150H559 2"Give the following instructions to the people of Israel. When you present an animal as an offering to the LORD, you may take it from your herd of cattle or your flock of sheep and goats.H1696H1121H3478H559H120H7126H7133H3068H7126H7133H929H1241H6629 3"If the animal you present as a burnt offering is from the herd, it must be a male with no defects. Bring it to the entrance of the Tabernacle so you may be accepted by the LORD.H7133H5930H1241H7126H2145H8549H7126H7522H6607H168H4150H6440H3068 4Lay your hand on the animal's head, and the LORD will accept its death in your place to purify you, making you right with him.H5564H3027H7218H5930H7521H3722 5Then slaughter the young bull in the LORD's presence, and Aaron's sons, the priests, will present the animal's blood by splattering it against all sides of the altar that stands at the entrance to the Tabernacle.H7819H1121H1241H6440H3068H3548H175H1121H7126H1818H2236H1818H5439H4196H6607H168H4150 6Then skin the animal and cut it into pieces.H6584H5930H5408H5409 7The sons of Aaron the priest will build a wood fire on the altar.H1121H175H3548H5414H784H4196H6086H6186H784 8They will arrange the pieces of the offering, including the head and fat, on the wood burning on the altar.H3548H175H1121H6186H5409H7218H6309H6186H6086H784H4196 9But the internal organs and the legs must first be washed with water.
