The Lamb Opens the Scroll

5Then I saw a scroll in the right hand of the one who was sitting on the throne. There was writing on the inside and the outside of the scroll, and it was sealed with seven seals.G2532G1492G1909G1188G2521G1909G2362G975G1125G2081G2532G3693G2696G2033G4973 2And I saw a strong angel, who shouted with a loud voice: "Who is worthy to break the seals on this scroll and open it?"G2532G1492G2478G32G2784G3173G5456G5101G2076G514G455G975G2532G3089G4973G846 3But no one in heaven or on earth or under the earth was able to open the scroll and read it.G2532G3762G1722G3772G3761G1909G1093G3761G5270G1093G1410G455G975G3761G991G846 4Then I began to weep bitterly because no one was found worthy to open the scroll and read it.G2532G1473G2799G4183G3754G3762G2147G514G455G2532G314G975G3777G991G846 5But one of the twenty-four elders said to me, "Stop weeping! Look, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the heir to David's throne, has won the victory. He is worthy to open the scroll and its seven seals."G2532G1520G1537G4245G3004G3427G2799G3361G2400G3023G5607G1537G5443G2455G4491G1138G3528G455G975G2532G3089G2033G4973G846 6Then I saw a Lamb that looked as if it had been slaughtered, but it was now standing between the throne and the four living beings and among the twenty-four elders. He had seven horns and seven eyes, which represent the sevenfold Spirit of God that is sent out into every part of the earth.G2532G1492G2532G2400G1722G3319G2362G2532G5064G2226G2532G1722G3319G4245G2476G721G5613G4969G2192G2033G2768G2532G2033G3788G3739G1526G2033G4151G2316G649G1519G3956G1093 7He stepped forward and took the scroll from the right hand of the one sitting on the throne.G2532G2064G2532G2983G975G1537G1188G2521G1909G2362 8And when he took the scroll, the four living beings and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb. Each one had a harp, and they held gold bowls filled with incense, which are the prayers of God's people.G2532G3753G2983G975G5064G2226G2532G5064G1501G4245G4098G1799G721G2192G1538G2788G2532G5552G5357G1073G2368G3739G1526G4335G40 9And they sang a new song with these words: "You are worthy to take the scroll and break its seals and open it. For you were slaughtered, and your blood has ransomed people for God from every tribe and language and people and nation.G2532G103G2537G5603G3004G1488G514G2983G975G2532G455G4973G846G3754G4969G2532G59G2248G2316G1722G4675G129G1537G3956G5443G2532G1100G2532G2992G2532G1484 10And you have caused them to become a Kingdom of priests for our God. And they will reign on the earth."G2532G4160G2248G2257G2316G935G2532G2409G2532G936G1909G1093 11Then I looked again, and I heard the voices of thousands and millions of angels around the throne and of the living beings and the elders.G2532G1492G2532G191G5456G4183G32G2943G2362G2532G2226G2532G4245G2532G706G846G2258G3461G3461G2532G5505G5505 12And they sang in a mighty chorus: "Worthy is the Lamb who was slaughtered—to receive power and riches and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and blessing."G3004G3173G5456G514G2076G721G4969G2983G1411G2532G4149G2532G4678G2532G2479G2532G5092G2532G1391G2532G2129 13And then I heard every creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and in the sea. They sang: "Blessing and honor and glory and power belong to the one sitting on the throne and to the Lamb forever and ever."G2532G3956G2938G3739G2076G1722G3772G2532G1722G1093G2532G5270G1093G2532G3739G2076G1909G2281G2532G3956G1722G846G191G3004G2129G2532G5092G2532G1391G2532G2904G2521G1909G2362G2532G721G1519G165G165 14And the four living beings said, "Amen!" And the twenty-four elders fell down and worshiped the Lamb.G2532G5064G2226G3004G281G2532G5064G1501G4245G4098G2532G4352G2198G1519G165G165
