Jesus Is Greater Than Moses

3And so, dear brothers and sisters who belong to God and are partners with those called to heaven, think carefully about this Jesus whom we declare to be God's messenger and High Priest.G3606G40G80G3353G2032G2821G2657G652G2532G749G2257G3671G5547G2424 2For he was faithful to God, who appointed him, just as Moses served faithfully when he was entrusted with God's entire house.G5607G4103G4160G846G5613G2532G3475G1722G3650G846G3624 3But Jesus deserves far more glory than Moses, just as a person who builds a house deserves more praise than the house itself.G1063G3778G515G4119G1391G3844G3475G2596G3745G2680G3624G4119G5092G2192G846 4For every house has a builder, but the one who built everything is God.G1063G3956G3624G2680G5259G5100G1161G2680G3956G2316 5Moses was certainly faithful in God's house as a servant. His work was an illustration of the truths God would reveal later.G2532G3475G3303G4103G1722G3650G846G3624G5613G2324G1519G3142G2980 6But Christ, as the Son, is in charge of God's entire house. And we are God's house, if we keep our courage and remain confident in our hope in Christ.G1161G5547G5613G5207G1909G846G3624G3739G3624G2070G2249G1437G4007G2722G3954G2532G2745G1680G949G3360G5056 7That is why the Holy Spirit says, "Today when you hear his voice,G1352G2531G40G4151G3004G4594G1437G191G846G5456 8don't harden your hearts as Israel did when they rebelled, when they tested me in the wilderness.G4645G3361G5216G2588G5613G1722G3894G2596G2250G3986G1722G2048 9There your ancestors tested and tried my patience, even though they saw my miracles for forty years.G3757G5216G3962G3985G3165G1381G3165G2532G1492G3450G2041G5062G2094 10So I was angry with them, and I said, 'Their hearts always turn away from me. They refuse to do what I tell them.'G1352G4360G1565G1074G2532G2036G4105G104G4105G2588G1161G846G1097G3756G1097G3450G3598 11So in my anger I took an oath: 'They will never enter my place of rest.'"G5613G3660G1722G3450G3709G1525G1487G1525G1519G3450G2663 12Be careful then, dear brothers and sisters. Make sure that your own hearts are not evil and unbelieving, turning you away from the living God.G991G80G3379G2071G1722G5100G5216G4190G2588G570G1722G868G575G2198G2316 13You must warn each other every day, while it is still "today," so that none of you will be deceived by sin and hardened against God.G235G3870G1438G2596G1538G2250G891G3739G2564G4594G3363G5100G1537G5216G4645G539G266 14For if we are faithful to the end, trusting God just as firmly as when we first believed, we will share in all that belongs to Christ.G1063G1096G3353G5547G1437G4007G2722G746G5287G949G3360G5056 15Remember what it says: "Today when you hear his voice, don't harden your hearts as Israel did when they rebelled."G1722G3004G4594G1437G191G846G5456G4645G3361G5216G2588G5613G1722G3894 16And who was it who rebelled against God, even though they heard his voice? Wasn't it the people Moses led out of Egypt?G1063G5100G191G3893G235G3756G3956G1831G1537G125G1223G3475 17And who made God angry for forty years? Wasn't it the people who sinned, whose corpses lay in the wilderness?G1161G5101G4360G5062G2094G3780G264G3739G2966G4098G1722G2048 18And to whom was God speaking when he took an oath that they would never enter his rest? Wasn't it the people who disobeyed him?G1161G5101G3660G1525G3361G1525G1519G846G2663G1508G544 19So we see that because of their unbelief they were not able to enter his rest.G2532G991G3754G1410G3756G1525G1223G570
