Solomon’s Many Wives

11Now King Solomon loved many foreign women. Solomon’s Adversaries

Joab, his army commander, had stayed to bury some of the Israelite soldiers who had died in battle. Jeroboam Rebels against Solomon

26Another rebel leader was Jeroboam son of Nebat, one of Solomon's own officials. The Northern Tribes Revolt

Shemaiah’s Prophecy

Jeroboam Makes Gold Calves

25Jeroboam then built up the city of Shechem in the hill country of Ephraim, and it became his capital. He said to the people, "It is too much trouble for you to worship in Jerusalem. A Prophet Denounces Jeroboam

This is what the LORD says: A child named Josiah will be born into the dynasty of David.
