CUSTODIAN

A pedagogue (Gk. paidagōgós), normally a slave whose job it was to take care of a young boy until he began studies with a grammarian (Gaius Institutes 1.19; Xenophon Laced. 3.1). Paul compares the relationship of a pedagogue to that of a father (1 Cor. 4:15). In a much debated text, Paul develops the metaphor of the pedagogue regarding the function of the law for Gentiles (Gal. 3:24): the law was an interim relationship for Gentiles “until Christ came” (NRSV); as sons of God, gentile believers are no longer under the tutelage of the law (v. 25).

Prayer Tents is a Christian mission organization that serves Christians around the world and their local bodies to make disciples ("evangelize") more effectively in their communities. Prayer Tents provides resources to enable Christians to form discipleship-focused small groups and make their gatherings known so that other "interested" people may participate and experience Christ in their midst. Our Vision is to make disciples in all nations through the local churches so that anyone seeking God can come to know Him through relationships with other Christians near them.
