KINGS POOL

A pool (Heb. bĕrēḵa hammele) mentioned in relation to the Fountain Gate, probably to be identified with the spring En-rogel (Bir Ayub) at the junction of the Kidron and Hinnom valleys (Neh. 2:14). Excavations by Kathleen M. Kenyon suggest that this pool is to be identified either with the still extant Pool of Siloam or the Old Pool (modern Birket el-Hamra), which was the termination point of one of two canals that flowed from the Gihon Spring down the Kidron Valley to the south. This pool must have been used to water the gardens in the valley such as the King’s Garden.

Prayer Tents is a Christian mission organization that serves Christians around the world and their local bodies to make disciples ("evangelize") more effectively in their communities. Prayer Tents provides resources to enable Christians to form discipleship-focused small groups and make their gatherings known so that other "interested" people may participate and experience Christ in their midst. Our Vision is to make disciples in all nations through the local churches so that anyone seeking God can come to know Him through relationships with other Christians near them.
