VIRGIN, APOCALYPSE OF THE

Two early Christian apocalypses, properly distinguished as the Apocalypse of the Virgin Mary and the Apocalypse of the Holy Mother of God Concerning the Punishments. Both narrate otherworldly journeys by Mary, emphasizing her vision of specific punishments assigned to particular classes of sinners. These accounts depend upon the Apocalypse of Paul, indicating composition after 388 c.e. In both apocalypses Mary intercedes for Christian sinners, winning temporary relief for them during Pentecost in the Apocalypse of the Holy Mother of God and forgiveness for those who repent in the Apocalypse of the Virgin Mary.

Prayer Tents is a Christian mission organization that serves Christians around the world and their local bodies to make disciples ("evangelize") more effectively in their communities. Prayer Tents provides resources to enable Christians to form discipleship-focused small groups and make their gatherings known so that other "interested" people may participate and experience Christ in their midst. Our Vision is to make disciples in all nations through the local churches so that anyone seeking God can come to know Him through relationships with other Christians near them.
