ROMANS

(Gk. Rhōmaíoi)

A designation of persons in one or more of four categories: representatives of the foreign government to which the Jews were subject (John 11:48; Acts 25:16; 28:17); Jews who had been born in Rome or who lived there (2:10); those who claimed an allegiance to the Roman Empire that (it is implied) others did not possess (16:21); and those who possessed Roman citizenship (vv. 37-38; 22:25-29; 23:27). By law Roman citizens could not be flogged or crucified, and when on trial could appeal to the emperor.

Prayer Tents is a Christian mission organization that serves Christians around the world and their local bodies to make disciples ("evangelize") more effectively in their communities. Prayer Tents provides resources to enable Christians to form discipleship-focused small groups and make their gatherings known so that other "interested" people may participate and experience Christ in their midst. Our Vision is to make disciples in all nations through the local churches so that anyone seeking God can come to know Him through relationships with other Christians near them.
