Hymn - Prayer Tents

Hymns and Responsive Readings used by Korean Christians

The hymns on this page are a compilation of standard hymns published in 1983 that is still widely used by Korean Christians. In 2006, a revision now called "New Hymnal" was made to add modern hymns, remove hymns with theological conflicts, and correct outdated grammar. However, many churches still use the former due to familiarity, while some have shifted to the newer.

The Responsive Reading is a reading of Scriptures interactively between the leader and the church (congregation). It has various themes that can be picked out quickly to match the occasion for group reflections.

The hymns and the responsive reading compilation provide commonality and accessibility to come together in worship, especially when people come together in small groups.

Prayer Tents is a Christian mission organization that serves Christians around the world and their local bodies to make disciples ("evangelize") more effectively in their communities. Prayer Tents provides resources to enable Christians to form discipleship-focused small groups and make their gatherings known so that other "interested" people may participate and experience Christ in their midst. Our Vision is to make disciples in all nations through the local churches so that anyone seeking God can come to know Him through relationships with other Christians near them.
